A Byouma is a medical weapon created by ancient sorcerers to kill the infected or those around the infected and make it look like an illness. Even centuries after the sorcerers have died, these weapons still wander the world, infecting and killing people. Narutaki Soutaro and Izumo Momo are Shadow Doctors, trained to combat these Byouma through unorthodox means. Using magically created anti-Byouma medical equipment, they perform “operations” on the medical weapons to separate them from their hosts and destroy them. Will their special weapons and brilliant teamwork be enough to get rid of all the Byouma in the world?

A very generic shonnen with a boring story which makes little sense and a very dumb setting, fairly cliched characters who hardly feel real people and almost no development; add to that lame villains with lame motives, "I want the wold to end because I had a rough childhood, oh poor me!", "I will kill all humanity and rule the world", "I'll kill everyone and make them know my strength!", my my, so freaking lame. As if that was not enough we get a rushed ending, after ch 45 or so the mangaka seams so eager to end the story that coherenece and consistency are ignored, sudden power-up in the last stretch, chars seam to teleport from one place in Japan to another, no resolution of main plot issues (or sudden unexplained resolutions), ridiculous actions

"Momo is the very important and only key to the Zero edition, we have to protect it at all cost... I know, let's take her, the only thing they need to complete their evil plans, to the enemy base with no support, plan or strategy so they get what they want!, Why? Because I don't know how to move the plot forward fast enough" that's the feeling
and the end is so bad

on top of having an annoying I won't kill 'cause I'm a good guy MC the villans, all of them end up living free following their lives and dreams
In short, avoid this, also, this doesn't deserve the romance tag, 1ch (3 pages actually) doesn't make a love story and it should have the rushed tag imo.

Great story..... few issues though
Was interesting don't mind a over powered main especially if even though he is he can't kill because of this or that(kinda balances out his strength). I only have two slight problems with this manga or I would have given it a 8 and that's they call them a demon disease when it's straight up possession or more of a demonic parasite. The other thing that bothers me more is three years of wtf actually happened during that time and please tell me in that time the only line he could come up with was everything reproduces......
I Liked It.
It's not amazing, but it's a really good read. I did not feel a desire to skip any chapters, I really enjoyed the entire manga. No, there's not a lot of romance, but the two main characters do end up together...sort of. No kissing if that's what you're looking for, but after a while it doesn't even matter.
It's funny, cute, and sometimes dark.I really enjoyed it. People complain that the characters are too cutesy, but after a while you sort of forget about that. It's a good read, give it a try.
you may want to skip some chapters
This is one strategy I acquired for reading too many manga: skip all garbage and read only the portion you enjoy.
I applied this scheme on this manga quiet effectively. I literally skipped about thirty chapters, and now I am quiet enjoying this series. You might want to try the same thing if you couldn't bear with early chapters just like I did.

This is a very interesting story although you have ditzy protagonists the characters and story are well put together the first chapter is promising after a few chapters in it will be a bit repetitive but its to build up the next plot which brings more excitement and leaves you wanting more its an overall great series if you want romance though too bad dont expect much its more for humor
The power of friendship!
I thought it was going to be a more mature story, because of the first chapter (it really started out interesting, I felt hooked), but a few chapters in it quickly became a typical shounen, bringing people together and saving lives with the power of friendship! Ugh.
At first I was really enjoying it but then it got repetative and boring so I dropped it. There really isn't any romance just some echhi and the girl has a huge crush on a guy who doesn't really even like her but she follows him to ends of the earth. Girls are so stupid. I'd never chase someone who doesn't even like me. I am a girl btw. Anyways it wasn't terribly bad. It was just kinda boring and nothing new and exciting.
Liking it so far.
A nice fresh new series with a rather cliche "boy protagonist who's not all he seems to be" trope but interesting storyline and ideas in general. Agree with others about the cute characters and pretty good drawing style. Definitely a promising new shonen series to keep track of.
hope it takes of well in Japan so we can see a decent number of volumes!
Nice to read
Main male character has good sword-play ability. Main female character has ridiculous strength. Good moral adventure story.
Not a perfect manga, but it's good...
When I started reading it, I saw a great potential in Kaitai. Although it had all those shonen clichés and so on, I really liked the characters, the pace of the story and the art. It also remembered me of Double Arts, my favorite manga of all times. But sadly the author couldn't achieve all the potential the series had in the beginning. It became a totally cliché shonen, with weak and inconscistent plot, rushed events and lacking novel things. Now we have a lot of boring and flat characters, with only a few being round. I was thinking in giving this series a 3 or 4, but considering all shonen limitations, I decided to give it a 8, after all, it's probably a good series to someone who is into shonen.
