This manga doesn't really have any flaws. It might not be up to everyone's taste but you should still read it.

There was not one character I didn't like. From Hotate and her dad, and the bishie Hayami, who turns out to be only a year younger than me. Every character had a personality and a realistic sense to it. Like Hotate was this sweet and innocent girl, but she wasn't that nice to the point of it annoying and sickening. You would actually grow to love the characters as you read along, I really cried when I found out that

that Hotate was 'dead'
and return to me senses and cried tears of joy when

I found out that she was on unconscious
I like the age the characters were as it fitted them perfectly. Zenjirou was a young dad, full of love. Hotate was a sweet innocent 10 year old and Hayami was a 14 year old, even though he doesn't look like it and at one point Hotate was taller than him, who had a painful experience.

The plot was pretty good, but it kind of lacked depth, it left me wondering things like
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
what happened to Hotate's and Hayami's moms and teacher and Zenjirou.
Every situation with the ghosts were different and were far from similar. I would have just liked it if I got to see an epilogue at the end, with the happy ending with Hayami and Hotate.

Art was phenomenal, every character had a distinct look and you can tell what they were felling though their expressions.

Overall, this manga is really loveable. If you don't cry at the 'event' then you sir or madam do not have a soul. 10.5/10

I read the reviews and I thought "okay cool this looks good" but I don't know... I never got into it, it seemed a bit childish to me (and not because she's only 10). I'm just not a fan of of the whole "i have powers, I'll help you and you and you" for every chapter. I give it a 7 though because I really liked the characters and the ending but definitely not my cup of tea.

I loved it! I predicted the end, but then I started second guessing myself, and ended up crying. First from sadness, then from relief. I do wish that there had been and epilogue chapter.

Just something that let us see them all 5 to 10 years later. I would have liked to see older Hotate and Hayami together, the college couple with their baby and the Dad and Teacher dating.

Awwwww..I love this manga >.< the story was touching and the author pulled it off so nicely too. I usually don't like manga's with ghosts and such (didn't really interested me) but this is just great, the ending was nice, but I just want more!!!! I started this low expectations....but I want to smack myself for thinking like that, good mangas are rare. Characters are likeable, the plot was good, and the art was beautiful. chapter 18 threw me off about, the style changed? It was still enjoyable of course.

This manga is so good. Their ages kinda threw me ofd at first, but it worked later in the story.

Characters: 10/10.
Zenjiro is a great dad and a great example to Hotate, a girl who can see ghosts, and he's loved by old people for all the right reasons. Hotoate is sweet and though she's just a kid, her heart is in the right place. Hayami... *sigh* I love him. Everyone else is great, too. I like the old people lol. smile

Art: 10/10 as always. This mangaka has gorgeous art. All the pretty pictures and cute guys are wonderful pluses to an already superb manga. Because this mangaka drew them the way she did, I thought Yuuki and Hayami were hot -- they're ten! I'm not creepy on younger boys, but dang!!

Story: 9/10 because the story itself was beautiful and ended well, I just feel that Maki-sensei could do so much more with it. Like, what's with Hayami's mom? No clue
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
besides the fact that she's psycho
.

There should be a sequel about what happens after the end, cuz there's no way everything just went down peacefully after all that. Even just a one-chapter epilogue would be great. But still, it was a very satisying manga with a feel-good ending. I very much loved this. <3

This really gave me a Natsume Yuujinchou feel. Its so adorable and I loved all characters. A must read. Its a pity it had such an abrupt end and that the artwork changed in last vol, but still it was very cute and Im glad the mangaka completed it after so many years.

I don't even know where to start in describing how PERFECT this series is. I've been following this manga since the first release in 2007 and I seriously do not regret that I am still here finishing it in 2012. The characters are so memorable and the storylines are so touching, it's ridiculous to think that one of the protagonists is only 10 years old. And Zenjirou is seriously THE best character I have ever encountered in a manga.

I was so sad when I finished the 4th volume because it was stated to be "completed." But when I saw that it ended at 5 volumes instead, I literally freaked out in joy. Later on, I was going ballistic towards the end of manga...literally going through a roller coaster of emotions of highs and lows. Maki Youko has seriously outdone herself with this manga.

Pure.Genius. I wish there was a sequel.

At first, I was a bit skeptical since I'm not into the paranormal genre but the cover drew me in with the loveliness of it all. I was like, "Oh, it's so shoujo" but there's something about it that doesn't make me face-palm with all the googoo-ness of it all which I usually do with mangas that have similar art.

I ended up falling in love with both the story and the art. The characters are lovable(like seriously) and Hotate is unexpectedly not annoying. I love her and Hayami and can I say Hotate's dad is pretty hot(so the whole Hotate's sensei liking him is a bit irking)

Some chapters got me all teary so it's either I'm becoming a sap of sorts or that the different stories incorporated here were just touching. I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

The ending chapters talked more on the backstory of Hayami...
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I knew it had to end somehow and I couldn't wait to see Hotate meeting Hayami and him waking up. The psycho-mom was a surprise but, like another comment I read somewhere, why the heck did the hospital allow her anywhere near him?

I mean, the police should have known it was her car that hit him, accident or not, they should have somehow investigated it or something. Whatever, I'm just nitpicking. This manga was still beautiful.

The scanlators really did a great job at translating this. The flow of the words, the lines, were just...they just added to the overall effect of making this a great manga. There are countless moments where the characters are just insightful and we really get to relate to the different situations.

It doesn't sparkle in a way that will give you a headache, it shines in a way that is just...lovely.

Despite the supernatural aspect of this, the characters' reactions are quite realistic.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Like in the ending where Zenjirou, who is normally quite...well, Zenjirou, actually shows another side to him as a father to Hayami.

People might have mixed feelings for the ending but I was okay with it. I definitely wanted to know more about the future and a romance between Hotate and Hayami
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
despite the age difference, he's like, what? four years older than her?

but it still left me loving this. I think by the ending, the manga's more about Zenjirou than his kid, really.

A great read. I'm wishing for a sequel (with an aged up Hotate in high-school and Hayami, the really hot college dude. Kyaha, he's just so hot) but I won't be holding my breath.

I was skeptical about this series before I started reading it. What kind of shoujo can a 10 year old female lead create? Although I was expecting a romance manjo, the unexpected content made this manga impressed me much further than expected.

The heartwarming storyline between Hotate and her father, how she helped the spirits that she could see and her connection with Hayami really made this manga almost perfect. I would had given it a 10/10 if the manga haven't ended such abruptly. I understand that this series went on a hiatus due to the mangaka's health problem and it was still completed after her recovery made me salute to her. (well...there are cases of mangaka just dropping the manga halfway without a proper ending..)

Lots of twists and surprises in this manga too.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The surprise to me in this manga is that Hayami is actually alive. I was pretty sad when I first thought that he could never be with Hotate. But the revelation of him in a coma instead of dead made me anticipate the ending.

Zenjiro being able to see ghost was another surprise. The mangaka had it covered so well in the beginning of the manga!
