One of the few instances where...

rape actually made sense to this story in a twisted way. At one point the main guy who hates the main girl begins to rape her. I say BEGINS because it evolves into them just having sex. Now I don't condone rape, but in this instances it made sense. The main guy hated/loved her for years as she slept because of his father's obsession and what it did to his family. In the context of the story, the main girl understood this and didn't hold it against him. Even though some freaked out about it, this story doesn't glorify rape.

I don't understand why such a good story plot was ruined by such a fast forward corny story.. If only they played with it a little bit it could have been excellent.. I don't like the Botox face look that they have.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
starts with a girl visiting her dad that is ill. He asks her to get a bf.. She asks the handsome doctor to pretend to be her bf. then her father passes away.. Then she ends up being sick too.. The doctor that pretended with her ended up loving her.. Out of nowhere this underground "Venus project" is introduced into the story. It acts as a capsule that freezes the body.. Alice is froze and she wakes up 40 yrs later where her doctor bf is dead and also had a son.. The son hates her but takes care of her.. Soon he ends up raping her bit she liked it enough to call him her bf?! Then he admits to liking her and wanting her to live because they still haven't found a cure yet.. She goes back to sleep and wakes up to him being older and herself being pregnant.. Apparently it is an Alice in wonderland themed dreamland where she apprentely talks to people from the past and the future.they have a girl and tell stories to her like she promised in one of her "dreams".

Could have been something good

I was really thrown off by the art; it sucked so much. And everyone was obviously meant to be good looking too. The front cover doesn't depict this at all. Although i could see the art maturing towards the end, it looked a bit like the cover.
This plot could have been good if there were much better art, characterization and dialogue. Because each character was so unreal and fake, just to carry on the plot. And this caused all their dialogue to be simplistic and one dimensional. Plus, the translating was done badly too, so it was difficult to read.
The author also did a bunch of stuff without any researching like, that other guy said. I mean, this kinda story didnt have any depth. It could have been written by a teenager. how did this get published?

Plus there was a stupid Alice in wonderland theme that was meant to give it depth, but made it stupid because there was no clear connection to the plot at all. Completely useless.
What she should have done was bump up the psychological factor and start questioning philosophy cz she had the whole reality or dream thing going on.
Though it did tickle my emotions a bit, its a simplistic story with nothing special about it. (And the smut wasnt even smut)

Interesting concept for a romance base, too melodramatic for my tastes, blatant medical malpractice that the distressed girl just walks into...

I can endure mis-proportioned shoujo artwork, so it wasn't much of an issue for me. The naivete of the girl is well...

I should've taken the "Shoujo" label seriously when I started reading this. It is rightfully labeled "Mature". Some dramas and shoujo are pleasant reads because of the sensible internal logic present - this one wasn't one of them.

Entertaining? Ah... it was okay.

edit: Oh dear. I notice just now that Astur below me wrote a spoiler. I kind of wish I read that before I started reading now... but it does pretty much spoil the entire story... Not that it'll matter in a few hours after you finish reading it... besides, the point of me reading the spoiler would be so I could feel comfortable quitting before finishing. Dispel the "What happened next?" easily.

Bad art

Don't be fooled by the cover, the art here is kind of bad. Everything is unproportioned and the guys that are supposed to be 'handsome' (the main character says so herself) have weird duck lips, creepy eyebrows, and really pointy chins.

I can't say anything about the story since the art was so bad I couldn't get through the first chapter

Ok, I personally don't like this author's work and the art, but I gotta say, this one is her best alright. The plot was quite dramatic, but in a good way (u can tell I'm a sucker for these). One of the best smut,no, I'll promote it to one of the best shoujo out there. The characters are actually understandable (even the Dr guy's son), unlike the randomness and shallow smut and many shoujo characters out there. Please give it a chance- and as for the smut, not too much there (only like a couple of times really) it will be worthy of you time biggrin

Very, very surprised

I'm reallyyy sorry for the length of this.. but this would definitely not be a good review as half this comment is afterthought.

I got to give it to Sasaki Yuna for making the best smut manga I have ever read.

Yes, the art is wonky and inconsistent, and the story has a few nuts loose, but I admit I was intent on reading all the way through from start to finish, and I am both happy and upset with a few things.

TRUST ME, read the manga before my spoilers or else it will definitely ruin EVERYTHING:

Everything starts pretty shallow, and you could say it stays shallow throughout the whole series, but I don't think I have ever been moved so much by a smut manga in my life.

Tatsuya loved Sakura so much that he wanted to find a way that would allow her to live. Now, the mangaka could have just queued five years later or something and have them live happily ever after, but she actually surprised me by going one step further. That other step could have been taken if Sakura woke up with Tatsuya's son dead, but that would be pushing it I guess lol.

Also, I thought it would be an awesome mindf-ck if during the time Riyo brought Sakura back to be frozen again, that the other doctor would kind of just say "...brother..." somewhere. Like, I almost thought that Tatsuya married the secretary-researcher (sorry forgot her name) and they had Riyo and that other guy together, but of course I knew I was wrong five seconds later xD. I read this at like 2 in the morning so don't hate on me too hard. I see now that it would make no sense if they were related, but if they subtly worked that it that would have been awesome.

Anyway, I guess what kind of ruined it was Riyo (obviously). I mean, I don't really care that he raped her, I understand why he did it, but the love part? Really? I guess in hindsight I can see how they fell in love through their mutual hate/love for Tatsuya.. in that twisted sort of way.

BUT I don't accept the fact that she admitted she loved Riyo more than Tatsuya. That was a big punch in the face. When Tatsuya said she grew up, the only way I saw that growth was in the fact she lost her virginity -queue awkward laughter-.

One of the most powerful lines in the story was when Sakura told Riyo that they are not to blame, Tatsuya was at fault. I thought that was excellent execution and build-up to that point. I guess in that sense you can see she grew up/grew out of her delusional love for a man that is long gone, but I mean come on! She woke up from being trick-freezed! Of course she is gonna be a nutter.

This series has made me feel fuzzy and crappy at the same time. Good on ya!

I think if they fixed a few things up, got a new artist, and added some different ideas this would be a reallyyy interesting sci-fi. Like, I'm having a bunch of different plot twists coming up in my head just from reading this crap.

I gave this series a high rating for stimulating creative growth in my brain, and it was actually pretty good in its own way.

So I've read the works of this mangaka and I wouldn't say that those have real plots but this one is gripping me right off the very first few pages. A good, pretty original story. Yes, the arts may look weird at times and yes, it may sound too melodramatic and cheesy and too teen-ish but nevertheless, I enjoy it
