i adore the art style because it enhance the horror. the story is not very scary in it self per se, but the way it developed is very interesting that up the horror quotient. one can enjoy this quick read being scared, intrigued, and amused at the same time
Junji Itou has to be one of the greatest horror storytellers i've ever seen, there is always something new, scary, twisted and unusual about his tales. Having not read the original Yami no Koe, i can only judge this by how i view it, a collection of very interesting stories, some with a bit of dark comedy involved. The art is top notch for what it tries to convey. I recomend it.
