A series of interconnected romantic comedy one-shots involving a Royal Family with seven+ sons in line for the throne and the men they fall in love with. The series also occasionally chronicles the romances of other palace employees and secondary characters.

2. Prince vs. Assassin
First prince, Ryuuen, gets attacked by Seiran, but he defeats him and makes a deal: the assassin can try to kill him all the time, but if he fails, then he must spend the night in the prince's embrace; and so starts Seiran's life as an official consort.

3. Right-handed Priest vs. Left-handed Priest
Rei has been in love with Ryuuen (the first prince) for years and now he has finally become the minister of the right. He thinks he can get closer to the first prince, but there is an obstacle, the minster of the left, Rai, that says that he is in love in Ryuuen too.

4. Mecenary vs. Prince[/i]
Sixth prince, Kagetsu, fell in love in Jin, who helped him with his wounded feet. Now he escapes from the castle everyday to tell Jin that he loves him, but the mercenary doesn't believe him. Suzaku always comes to drag Kagetsu back to the castle, but what are his real motives?

The person below me......what?'s like a long paragraph that missed the point of this manga.

This is a light hearted read and meant to be fun. Sofistree got it right...these stories were meant to be entertaining and cute. Assassin one was quite sexy and the art is clear and bubbly.

Seeing such rave ratings and comments from previous I actually thought I was about to discover another decadent series. Boy was I foolishly tricked, big time. It's not like I demanded to see some giant statue of a story - I'm not one of those close-minded. All I need is a bit of either common sense or consistency. That might sound unrelated but not at all. If this was intended to be an outrageous manga then go crazy or silly or anything worthy of the word. Or if it wanted to be serious then don't throw in cheesy illogical jokes and actions in the middle. This manga is the tedious mix of both, thus leading to a disaster recipe. I feel like the mangaka wanted it to be humorous and heart-wrenching at the same time although failed to deliver that idea through. It was just too horrendous it's not even funny. Not to mention the enormous amount of unacceptable cliche every-freaking-where. I couldn't even force myself to read through the whole thing although what I hate most is to drop things I had decided to pick up and to finish from start to end. The art is also kinda iffy, nothing truly spectacular to remember by, although the chibis are admittedly quite cute and funny. I guess that's the only redeeming saviour I can pull out of this.

I loved all these! Related oneshots are great! The art was wonderful, the plots were creative and funny (I especially loved the assassin one!)!

One of my favorite things was in the 5th chapter when Rai is talking to Seiran (the assassin), Seiran says he often wants to kill Ryuuen. Rai says something like, "This is Ryuuen we're talking about. He'll think you're flirting if you try to kill him. To him, that's foreplay." Hahaha! It's so true!

Read it - it's a blast!

Note: it is not elegant or subtle or anything - it's crazy, unrealistic and loud. It's good for what it is. On a grander scale, not so much. But my rating is according to how entertained I was by it within its genre and scope. No life-changing moments here, but then that's not what I read it for. wink

I love the art, the stories. It is so well written I couldn't predict the ending of many of the individual stories. I think my favorite is the 2nd one. It's incredibly sweet, I keep wanting more and more of it. Suggested read!
