Surprising! by dreamit. on July 31st, 2009, 5:31pm

This manga was quite a breath of fresh air! I was skeptical at first because i'm not exactly a person who reads adventure/action/historical manga but i certainly dont regret reading this. I loved everything about it: characters, plot, drawing, development, how everything was resolved and the ending. Although it's 15 volumes, it felt so short and was really addicting! Usagi was kinda annoying and useless at times but that also develops later on. Don't hesitate to read this manga because of the many volumes and don't give up on it because in the end, i guarantee you'll have no regrets =).

P.S- when you finish Tsuki no Shippo, read Tsuki no Toiki after becsuse its part of it

Interesting by mogiks on July 13th, 2009, 1:35pm

I will be honest when I say that I didn't likethe main character, particularly at the start, when she was a spectacular crybaby. I also thought the romance between her and Hanzo was quite clichéd. However, I think this manga stands very well thanks to the wonderful art and historical setting, on which a large amount of the plot revolves. There's a wide range of interesting characters and there's always something interesting going on. Be warned, though; it's the kind of manga where everyone falls in love with the main character for no reason. Ultimately, though, the relationships are very engaging, the plot reaches a very good climax but the ending was a bit disappointing. It is the historical setting that really sets this manga apart though, and the art is wonderful. Definitely recommended, although don't expect anything TOO deep.

Love it! by The Herbalist on May 20th, 2009, 3:30am

I've read tsuki no shippo now for twice and just started reading it again! I just love the art and the story, and sometimes I can't stop laughing( or crying). I think Ueda Rinko is a genius! I've read many of her work and they're all great.
Love the part when Hanzou starts to have feelings for Usagi. They're just too hilarious!

an okay manga by akimo on May 19th, 2009, 2:27am

when i started reading this, it was pretty good and funny. i can tolerate her stupidity... until the middle of the series.... she is just too stupid and cry way too much. i like it when she was strong and independent but she revert back =.=
besides my complaints about Usa, i like all the other characters and the story. i hate the ending though..

very good by deblazes on April 21st, 2009, 5:21pm

I thought it ended too abruptly but the story overall was quite good. Thoroughly developed in a consistent manner. It didn't really slow down for me at any time.

this manga is soooooooooooo... good, i loved it. i didn't really liked it at first but then it kept getting more n more interesting, some part made is so intense that it left a big image, like when da war broke out n every1 was killed... that part is sooooooooooooooo... heartbreaking, it was her special day n she... thought everythin was a happy endin.. but yea... heartbreakin, very suspenseful durin that part 2, n then she totally changed... we really c how usagi grows throughout da manga.. n i really liked da love triangles n twists wink

it is very developed, not like a typical shojo manga at all! u really can't guess what'll happen next

disappointed... by IHemmy on April 4th, 2009, 4:20am

The actual romance was SOOO slow to begin but once it did it was cute...But then BAM the story went on fast forward mode. War broke out and everyone died? Usagi became pretty and independent? OH WAIT thats a lie!!! Like what the hell was that. Dead people just popped out of nowhere, some became saints, etc for no other good reason than "tra le da le da" I have a few pages left so lets just draw something...AND Everything just ended with a pretty bow?!? UGH so basically it was cute, funny, but after the middle part it was just some plain bad story development. BUT GOOD READ IF YOU BORED!!!

Now, what's a word to describe this manga...? by Disremembrance on April 3rd, 2009, 3:48pm

I'm not really sure what would be a good word to show how much I enjoyed it. Even though the manga was rather long, it wasn't pointless. The heroin grew from someone helpless into a very smart woman, even if times were hard for her. When some of her most important people were supposedly dead, she went on, and didn't give up, even if she was hurting for them. Though her overwhelming affections for the male protagonist amaze me, I still think she's a worthwhile character. Meaning the male protagonist's personality didn't quite agree with my tastes, his being so strict about everything was sickening.
I'm just glad that the protagonists did end up with a good future.

Tsuki no Shippo by iaminlovewithU on March 15th, 2009, 10:01pm

Well i must say i didn't expect the many twists that came towards the end.. i also didn't like them. I was really hoping it would stay a positive manga throughout but it became sorta dark.. Im happy with the ending but it left me feeling sad too. She grew up and became a fine woman i was happy about that.. for the most part i loved it but for some things that upset me and threw me off i will give it an
