Description

Imai, a member of a baseball team, has his eyes on Hikita, a younger member who works so hard despite how awkward he is. Whenever Hikita gets nervous, he seems to glare at people. Imai just finds him so cute. "I'm the only one who's noticed how sexy you are..." He tries to get close to Hikita, looking after him in the way a more experienced member should, when deep down, he just really wants to touch Hikita's naked body!

I love Imai, but Hikita said "no" a few too many times that it made me a little uncomfortable. :/

Tender and Sort of Mature

While most of the art work might actually look like rough drafts, don't let this throw you off. The pacing of the story, characterization, and flow are all well managed. Moreover, the portrayal of how love is to be expressed was also quite a nicely done. And the use of snow to frame the story is thoughtfully done with monologues that carry weight.
Also, was shounen ai always this graphic? This is almost yaoi.

I have only one complain in this manga.
There is no sex scene lol. Of course it won't have any since it is shounen ai. LOL.
Over all, cutest manga ever!

Refreshing boy love.

Awww I really enjoyed this manga. This is exactly the kind of manga that makes my heart flutter. After reading a lot of Yaoi this is a refreshing change. If you want a simple story on the pretenses of some mild boy love with interesting characters, this will more than suffice.

The plot could be called some-what boring. It involves high school boys in the baseball club. Most of the events take place either in the club room or on the club grounds. Nothing dramatically happens. They talk. They train. They play baseball. And while that's happening you get an insight into the characters thoughts and emotions.

There are two main characters. One is the 'Prince' who is athletic, good looking and friends with everyone and the other is Hikita. Now Hikita has a reputation of scowling at people when he's nervous so everyone thinks he has a scary face, even though he's kind and hard working, everyone avoids him. The only person who knows his true self is Imai (the prince).

I like how the mangaka portrays Imai. You get an insight into his mind. He likes Hikita - scowling face and all - and becomes monopolizing over keeping his true self from everyone. Straight away you find out how Imai wants to 'see' and 'hold' Hikita. Although he doesn't act on his thoughts...it's clear that he likes him, very much.

Now about the art. The art doesn't appeal to me at all. But i some-what feel that the mangaka wasn't trying to win her fans over with the art. She was trying to express a cute little story about an ugly guy who wins the heart of the popular guy. Even though the art was plain, sketchy and dull i still found Hikita cute at times and after a while, he really warmed up to me. I will say this though: if you're looking for bi-shounens...this isn't the manga for you.

My last thoughts for this manga is it's really refreshing and a joy to read. I found myself smiling at many scenes and wanting to follow this series through and see their relationship develop more*. I liked the simplicity of the plot, the characters and above all: the romance.

*This is volume one, the story continues in volume two.

This manga was suuuuper cute! Like the person before me said, the art style is very unique and I love the feeling it gives to the story. Actually I wish more of this mangaka's works were scanlated! The characters and their relationship are both super refreshing, and their progression is simple and sweet.
One of my favs, I definitely recommend reading it!

The art is sketchy, but somehow it's also really unique 😀 I'm glad that I picked this manga up, the relationship between Imai and Hikita is really cute. At the same time it's innocent and at the same time it isn't. Haha, I really like the way Hikita was drawn, he's really cute!
The storyline isn't really dramatic, a bit angsty yes, but all in all it's really simple. 🙂
