alright. by eccentrrick on May 18th, 2009, 6:11am

I really like how the buildings and background settings have the most wonderful details ever. But anything that is a "straight line" looks like it was super-over-done by a ruler. (is that possible?)
For some reason, I felt that the background art overshadowed the manga characters.

As much as I want to twist Yuuki's head like a barbie doll, that annoying personality of his matches how he looks; like a small fragile naive little boy.

My favorite character would be Sho. The straight younger brother of Yuuki, even if he wasn't a main character.

What I didn't like was....
Spoiler (highlight to view)
the fact that Yuuki's "health is poor" causing Sho to become the president. Pathetic. I find it so funny how Yuuki, who was supposedly raised to inherit his little hotel chain.. and Sho, who didn't learn about the business related stuff, suddenly takes over and makes progress way better than Yuuki ever did. (sorry bout that long run-on sentence there :p)

Is there any other word to describe Yuuki other than Pathetic?
(and selfish :p)

Other than that. Background art was totally awesome.

Potential is There, But Needs More Experience to Capture Her Unique Artistry by MightyMaeve on March 19th, 2009, 9:51am

I would definitely class this manga as a 'sweet, light romance,' but lacking the grounding exploration of humanity element that a more mature story teller could have subtly infused and woven in. The story line and the characters themselves, were immature in development. Although easy to follow and cognitive, it was rushed, extremely minimized and basic. Even the title tie-in, the bar/cafe where our boys meet, is under developed and glossed over.

Technically, the art felt awkward and un-aged in facial expressions and choices of layout, losing much in the way of making a solid, lasting effect me. More importantly, though, the art was similar in vein to the writing, indeed the levels matched harmoniously as far as stages in a creator's development. If the art ability and the story weaving ability progress from juvenile to mature together, I think Ogami-sensei could go far. I mean this in no derogatory or arrogant way; it was a pleasant read, absolutely, but I felt rather like a junior high school teacher, grading the work of my student, one who held much potential, but not ready for the world of published, professional works of unique talent.

NAH..just nah... by lilevilgal on November 6th, 2008, 1:12pm

god i totally agree with lillithgloria! wats up with the uke? he was so pathetic....i personally felt that he was useless. his character had no depth watsoever. the story was too rushed as well. and richard was so irratating! many time i kept asking myself "wats up with that dude?" the only +ve thing is that the seme is abit good looking....thats why this got a 3 or else i would have given it 1.
long story short-turn away this is a waste of time.....

I just want to say one thing: when I was reading this story, constantly was dreaming about shooting the uke!!! he was a super pain in the ass, a real turn off and so girly that I wished I could smack him on the head any time he was crying or whining!!! ohhhh, god... *rolling eyes*
