Description
From JanimeS: Princess is a very straight forward and sad series. This series is full of romance and politics. The background is an unknown medieval era where there are three countries. Among the three countries, there is an island country called "Ramira". The empire, Ramira, is where most of stories will unfold. There are generations of princesses, and the first 27 volumes set the story for the eventual regaining of Ramira by the greatest Empress of Ramira, Preia, who was beloved by the people and had many loyal men under her.
Well, I don't know if this new is true. (I hope it doesn't, will never be true). Because of being an author writing Manhwa doesn't receive much money, it seems the authoress has stopped this Manhwa. And Deawon have announced that this series was dropped forever.
No way! I don't dare to imagine. Look, it's the best Manhwa I have ever read, and we still don't know anything about people's fate yet. This series can't be stopped like that.
I love this manhwa! I am hooked and was surprised to know that it's been on hiatus for years now. I hope Han Seung-won continues with this; because it really is a great series. Thus, the 10. I love the setting, the history, the politics, and the depths of the characters. Yes, the story is tragic, and I can literally feel my heart breaking (I even shed tears!) while reading the series, especially when deaths were met... but please, let this manga have it's ending. I want to see it to the end - how Pry will rule, who she's fated to love, what will happen to Leo and Eshe, and the young princesses, the fate of the kingdoms... will ASR be united again... and most especially... will Sei stay and still look after Pry?
My favourite character is Sei! Hands down to him, really. I don't want him to die - but he'll probably be happy to anyway. I love Sei, he's easily the best male character in the series, teehee.
My other favourite characters are Eshilde, Biyon, Sibel and Skadei Tor.
So! If you like history, love, politics, and tragedies... this one is for you.
How can she just stop it there? TT TT I got hooked, but it really is tragedy doesn't really let you get happy. The Art is very detailed and it has a nice plot, it almost seems like real history.
Perfect art, perfect plot, perfect characters....everything is perfect.. The art is a bit old, yes, but the detail, mannnn....I cant imagine how she draws that. (I actually stared at pages for hours). The characters are all beautiful (though at first it was hard to tell leo and his father apart. lol). A broad variety of characters: the strongwilled girl, the prince, the knight, the crossdresser, the commoner, the beauty, the tyrrant, all variations that can probably exist. It spans generations, showing alot of character development (especially Eshlid). Blend of politics, romance, tragedy (a lot), comedy (a bit), and pride. This is probably one of the best shojo historical romance I've read so far. (almost on par with VoB). Fate plays a big role here, so keep a lot of tissues by your side. There is a lot of crying to be done when you read this I am dying, waiting for this to be continued!! If not, I wish they'd make this into a KDrama, or a European series (Hollywood would destroy this), and I swear, this will be like a hit. I could imagine it already...ahh..if i were only a bit older and had a lot of time, I'd have taken this project up and turned it into a trilogy.
Happy brithday HAN Seung-won! Thank you for your romantic and interesting series. I love your character Bii, Eishield, Leo, Sei, Heroic and Preia (of course!!). Who can conquer Preia's heart? I hope he is Heroic, a loyal and handsome man and they will be a really really lovely couple. I am dying to read vol 32, so don't stop, you did it sooo well! I am Vietnamese, and you know, in Vietnam they love reading Princess, too. This is the best series I have ever read! I wish you had a happy and nice birthday. Thank you.
This is very tragic. I mean Bii dies, lala and her sis die, the king can't even look at his children but the sadest thing is LaLa. She has a acholic father. She was abused everyday. And in the end she dies. I feel soo sorry for her.
and the story still amazes me. i would wholeheartedly recommend this manhwa to everyone with its epic tales of love and politics over 3 generations, if only it werent so tragic and heartwrenching at the same time. most importantly, theres a terrible cliffhanger at the end of volume 31, and the series has been on hiatus for years!!! i really hope it gets completed one day, its really too amazing of a story to be left unfinished.
This is one of those stories where you need to have time to read (or rather if you don't have time you will MAKE time for it). It is enticing and very well written, however the characters do have similar facial features so if you take a break from it, it will be hard to remember who is who again. Regardless, it's been almost a year since I reached the "end" for this manga and I still know exactly where I left off. It leaves a very strong impact on the reader and even though it is long, it's more like reading a history textbook (which might sound endlessly boring to some) with every dramatic detail.
I haven't cried that much in a long time. Especially when they both died. I hope that the 3rd generation'll be happy. I really hope that this manhwa will have a happy ending.
This is a very sad, tragic, long manhwa, and a very good one at that. I don't want to mention the negatives, because although there may be some (and there might be big ones), this manhwa's really worth reading (and that's why i gave it 10). The story covers a long period of time and has a lot of characters with a good storyline (it depends though). The politic's not complex and it's easy to follow. I really hope that this manhwa will continue, the hiatus's almost 3 years.
I really, really like Princess. I don't want to admit this but, come on, it drags on too much. I want the third generation to meet already. I want Sibel and Pry to meet. That's what I'm waiting for.I know that the development of the characters are crucial, but I feel like the process is taking too long. However, I truly enjoy reading Princess and I recommend it if you're into Kings, Queens and adventure
