Description
Julie’s family is very poor, and since she’s plain and ugly, as her sister has told her time and time again, she does most of the chores in her house. By accident, she meets the Yee family while trying to get her plane back from a tree in their yard. She meets the family again a year later and is adopted into their family. Soon she becomes a pawn between Mr. Yee’s new wife and his oldest son Ryan, both of which will use Julie as a means to hurt one another. Can Julie survive her new life till she’s of legal age to leave? From Manga Jouhou: This young girl is often mistreated by her family, being called ugly and useless. One day, she meets the new wife of the Yee family, which changes her life forever. The woman adopts her into her wealthy family, and now she lives with 3 other boys around her age. Overall I enjoyed reading the trilogy, but I'd only recommend it for a more mature audience; due to the need of connecting the dots to understand the ending. It would have been a lot better if the author had been able to have more volumes to allow the story to smoothly evolve. As is, it goes from a light-hearted shoujo, to a serious one in one blink of the eye. Like they say, "Slow and steady is sure to win the race," but sadly, this time, a rabbit appeared.
The ending left me rechecking to be certain that there were actually only three volumes.

i thought i would really like this series, but i couldn't drag my self to finish reading it. it was childish and cute for the first two volumes. then the last one i didn't want to finish, and i'm a compulsive reader. the last volume seemed chopped and crammed, it became difficult to follow. plus the scanlator changed and all the character's names with it!

Spoiler (highlight to view) The ending is basically Ryan leaving Julie in the garden to go to the hospital to get treated. Notice before he put the ring on her finger, meaning that even after all of this, they will still love and stay together. The shadow that you saw is Lance coming to pick her up from the garden to go home. She questions in the end that what if she was never adopted, would her life be the same.
I was confused too, but it made sense when I fit all the puzzles together. And I loved this manga, but I agree that the ending should be more straightforward.

I dunno what really happen in volume 3 especially the last part. I have a hard time reading it due to the drawing (or probably because I read from scanlation made by different group for volume 3) but I think the story in vol 1-2 was ok. And I agree with people comments about the heroine being so indecisive. What's with the "what if?" question. What happen to Ryan during that hide & seek game?
I have mixed feeling to rate this manga.

| First manga that i was not able to finish or continue, just 1 volume put me off until i just could not take it anymore because the art is just too horrible. The story itself is not bad so if you can get passed the art then you will be alright. |

I'm left extremely confused and full of questions. It started with a plot. Just like any other story, a love triangle. But it was strange how I couldn't really see the story going anywhere. She was extremly undecisive. v_v;
This may as well be the most ambiguous ending I've encountered. But it may not be so true. I think, it may mean that she's currently happy, and thinking about the "what if's", and would she be this happy if she never got adopted in the first place and had to encounter with such a family..

| I didn't like the beginning of the manga, but I started to like it after when everything was cleared up about the whole letter thing. Then I thought it started going down hill... and I still don't understand the ending. If anyone who actually gets it, can you please explain it to me? |

I don't like the ending. Overall the manga wasn't too bad but at times the flow was off and again, I don't like the ending.

there really is only three volumes? and that's how it really ends? this has to be a joke.......... if it's not, then i want to strangle the author and ask s/he what the *boopers* s/he was doing.
