Description
From Tokyopop: After a traumatic incident, Jun Sakurada refuses to interact with the outside world and return to school--he even shuts out his sister, his closest friend. Jun spends most of his time online buying spiritual items that are obvious rip-offs. One day he finds a website that curiously enough asks him to put his order in his desk drawer. Thinking it's a joke, Jun plays along. The following day a suitcase arrives containing a doll named Shinku... that comes to life before his very eyes! Welcome to the world of Rozen Maiden, where Jun must enter an all-new reality to protect and serve a living doll...
Does anyone know if this series (manga, not Anime DVD) has been licensed /published in Russian.? I think that'd be cool to read..That being said, I love this series, one of my all-time favorites, even if it is exaggeration. It has been my favorite for quite some time. I own 1-4-5-6 of the manga, Tokyopop. Too bad the company went bankrupt?.
Great story, it's unique and I love that this story reflect very much about objects and about the doll's emotions. The only turn down for me is that there aren't really any ''wow-really-exciting-climax'' feelings, even though there's some battle scenes. I felt there's a lot of things going on at the same time, so it might be confusing for some people.
I love the concept but the story itself has been a little slow for me. Truthfully, I'm even surprised that I read to the end of the online chapters though that's probably because I hate not finishing a series once I pick it up. Don't read this if you were drawn to it because it's seinen or else else you'll be stuck wondering why magical, ancient dolls that have been around for generations have the maturity of preschoolers.

The 2nd Rozen Maiden doll, Kashiba, is the cliche "strategist" whose dumber than a sack of bricks. She spends a week trying to B&E the protagonist's house by propping the door open and fails... yeah... she had her "elephant" shaped door stopper ready to go, but she took too long eating lunch and got scared off by a cat on a different time. Seriously, don't read this if you're expecting any sort of high level thinking.
really.... this wonderful story could be describe by that. The lolita side is the doll, and the gothic is the doll life. They're all so cute, beauty, and adorable, yet their life is for fighting and filled with sadness... And they're know really well that they're doll, and it's very sad for me T___T ufgh and this manga really has nice artwork. Once again, all the doll are VERY ADORABLE
i like this manga... it gives me something that we need to give importance of things we have and we're not perfect.. I love the flow of the story of this cute manga..♥
I think it's really cute, but I was hoping I would get more attached to it like the rest of the manga that I own, I will seek to reading the 2nd volume, and give this another try.
