Strong start... by naughty_raccoon on August 22nd, 2009, 4:24am

The first chapter gave me a really good impression - it had good-looking characters, graphic (hardcore) smut, and an interesting setting - what more to ask for? To me, the whole attraction of this series are those three things, because the character relationships are not that developed, and it doesn't exactly center around a very complicated plot either. I just wish that the next volume would come out soon, because the 1st volume ended at a cliffhanger, and no one likes a cliffhanger!

Oh man, oh man. You know normally I'm for stories more than art than anything and to be honest this story wasn't all that original or fascinating, but somehow this author has just the right combination of art, characters and story that it's altogether addicting. And the art ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL BY THE WAY. At every panel I don't know whether to drool or just bow to Ogasawara-sama as a fellow artist. I also like how, despite the fact that Leo seems to be girly, at least his body is realistic as a man who knows how to fight. Though his body still seems girly in comparison to Jemaru's guns. D:

My only complaint though is that I know it's only part of his character, but (I don't really consider this a spoiler, because it's kind of nonimportant) Jemaru is too loose! He's does it with like everyone. I don't know to me that kind of spoils the romance, and that's really all this story has going for it, BESIDES THE ART.

what? by eccentrrick on September 29th, 2008, 11:40am

I liked this. But not love it. It started off with an amazing plotline. Characters were developed, and you see some connections between one another. Then, it get's to the ending, and somewhat, I feel that the ending was unsatisfying.

What about more background info about Francis de la Tour, and his relation with Leonard? What happened to him?

There were open-ends, and some things that were left unexplained.

Although it was deliciously graphic. And the art is gorgeous, I felt the story was left halfway done.

If this was a 2 volume series and the mangaka closed more ends, then I would've like it much more. (EDIT: It now says that it's 2 volumes and ongoing? I'm confused! If it goes on, i'd gladly buy it! ^__^)

But great read, it didn't waste my time.

the art in this was so amazing!! and hott on top of that!! how can you get any better than that?? how bout, men who are clearly men! not girly and frail! how bout, DRAMA! this has an actual plot line...(kinda) which tends to revolve around sex...but hey! who doesn't like a good, well drawn, sexy manga?? can't wait for the next volume to come out!!

Black Sun Doreiou by Sleepy_Sheepy on September 7th, 2008, 10:25pm

You know, the art is what had me hooked, but the story is what kept me going. I was a bit hesitant because if the entire thing was just going to be rape I could pass on that, but it seems like there was the start of some feeling developing, too bad there isn't a volume 2, yet, though I sort of wonder if it just wasn't meant to end there, with the two of them being separated.

Like I said, great art, interesting historical setting, the crusades is not one you see often, and a steady plot. Also a lot of sex if that is all you are in for.

At first I was quite apprehensive in reading it. But base on experience, All of the manga that on upper rank on ranking are really nice to read.

At the first chapter, where the rape happens, I was like " GYAA! No! Wait! Don't do that! NOOOO!!!!" It took me awhile to continue reading the rest of the first chapter.
That would be quite humiliating really. I admire Leaonard's action for saving his men. The story progresses into different issues.

The art is really wonderful and story is nice. Can't wait what will happen to Jejumaru and Leonard

Highly Recommended! by Helaine on February 25th, 2008, 10:09am

Beautiful art, great story, and very graphic yaoi xD

I love well-muscled (not skinny/girly) body, so I love this manga biggrin

And the characters are very handsome too... *0*

Warning: hardcore and rape. I like hardcore titles so it wasn't a problem. I give it 10 for good art and a plot that'll get you hooked. I love historical settings so that's also a plus. It's too bad I guess I'd have to wait a little longer because the mangaka hasn't finished the 2nd volume. I'm itching to know what will happen to Jejumaru and Leonard. Try it it's worth reading.
