Description
From Viz: Leo Aoi looks like a crazy animal with wild eyes, and he goes berserk whenever he feels threatened and sees blood. That doesn't stop animal-lover Yuiko Kubozuka from befriending him, however. In fact, Yuiko is the only person Leo will listen to when he has one of his violent fits...
Includes Extra Stories: Fly Cactus Summer Surprise
I like the plot alot! and the male lead is so cute~ he's like a pet dog thats cute on the inside out but can turn deadly when it wants to protect something.
I like the female lead too. she's not annoying. she's not over the top. she's just.. normal. and sometimes normal is good.. since the guy is already abnormal. haha
like someone said before me in the comment box, my favorite phrase is
"To protect ourselves and what we hold dear, we keep frightening beasts within ourselves."
how true.. overall a sweet manga. and nice ending too. xD
I love this manga because of the cute story and characters and of course the funny moments, which are plenty. I have to admit that the story is lacking, but it fallows the love story of some school kids not treasure hunters, what do you expect? At first sight the characters might seem a little plain, but at least their features make sense. I mean, in some mangas the characters at one point are weeping, then they turn brave, then they cry again, no real person is like that. In this manga Leo is kind, and wants to protect the people he cares about and Yuiko is also kind, straightforward and also whats to help her friends. I can't say this is the best artwork I've ever seen, but it's still cute. Overall it's a good read in both rainy and sunny days.
this is quite a 'cute' series and i love the relationship between yuiko and leo, this is by no means your typical shoujo manga, but it has just as many close moments and is very refreshing, recommended!
Interesting idea, but bland, especially the characters. Leo is.. kind of a wuss, so despite his harsh exterior he's just your regular nice guy. Yuiko is plain, but at least she's not your typical stupid/annoying/pathetic heroine, although she's nothing special.
More than anything though, it was cheesy... It was like the author took every cheesy line from every manga ever and crammed them all in here. The sappiness will make you cringe...
Overall, it was entertaining enough, but mediocre at best. All I can say is, thank god it was only two volumes.
just wow. it was... great, amazing, beautiful, funny, just... wow.............. *heart is still thumping quickly from reading it* i loved it. and not to mention leo is like... the sexiest manga dude i have ever seen. ever. and he looks a bit like L. =)
I completely love this book.... although it's a bit cliche but i really like Leo!!! He is so adorable.. There wasn't really a climax in this manga though (maybe a tiny bit at the accident part) but it is still a very enjoyable manga and i strongly recommend this. XD
I like my shoujo mangas like this I think that Beast Master, although short and very cliche, is something worth reading because it's fun and enjoyable. The art is really good too. Leo's background is pretty meh, but Leo's so cute I'm willing to look pass that XD
"To protect ourselves and what we hold dear, we keep frightening beasts within ourselves." Leo makes me feel like some weird auntie who wants to feed a cute little kid sweets. XD
Sure, the art's cute, bishounens aren't badly drawn, but this series does have its flaws. It falls into the cliche of, girl reforms guy, guy scary outside but kind and gentle in the inside ... and just the pacing/storyline/characters scream shoujo cliche. But overall, I enjoyed the story. And anyway, it's short, so what could I really expect out of it?
