Description
The story opens as middle school student Takao Kasuga receives an F on a math test. But he doesn't even seem to notice because he's too engrossed in surreptitiously reading Beaudelaire's The Flowers of Evil. And the day goes downhill from there. In a moment of weakness, he finds and takes home the gym clothes belonging to sweet, pretty Nanako Saeki on whom he has a major crush. Unfortunately for Takao, there's a witness to the theft: Nakamura, who has a huge chip on her shoulder and a sadistic streak.

As the saga unfolds, we see Takao struggling to decide whether to confess or cover up his misdeeds at the same time that he tries to win over the girl of his dreams, and avoid the blackmail attempts of Nakamura, his new ”BFF.”

Worthy,

Read the whole thing (as of now, up to chapter 44) in one sitting, lured by the first 5 chapters of the 'rotoscoped' anime adaptation.

The manga starts slow and the art doesn't look very consistent at first, but things get better as you grow accustomed with the depth (or lack thereof) of the characters. Reaaly interesting and touching.

Very random (and we don't get explanations for a lot of things...), but a good read nevertheless.

It's such a long time since I've read a wonderful manga like this. Not easy for one that looking for something funny and energetic. It's somehow dark but very realistic and mysterious. No real murder, no real monster but you can find it inside characters' souls. I'm so in love with Saeky, what a poor girl. I'm still hoping she will soon come back to Kasuga and they live happily till the end of life (though it would never get real because Nakamura is the real female potagonist). Mangas like these make me really love being a human more and more!

A very dark and twisted manga that's nonetheless compelling. I read it in bursts and I really enjoyed it, though if you're not going to like it if you're looking for a standard manga romance plot. If you like stories about characters with deep psychological problems then this will be right up your alley.

Great series, so far, but not for everyone

While it got off to a slow start, the series has definitely taken off in recent chapters and is hard to put down till there's no more left to read. The subject matter though becomes increasingly dark however, and might not be for everyone.

First of all, I have to say that I actually came for something like a sadomasochism manga, which would explore it in a more psychological way (I've been looking for it for quite some time now). Anyway, I'm now 17 chapters in this piece and I have to say, it's not that bad... taking into account that it's something else than I thought it was. My biggest problem with it is the fact that I just sometimes can't understand the main character's way of thinking. On the other hand, I didn't have the same problem with the other characters, so maybe I'm just overthinking it, because it's a more psychological based manga.

Its a good manga. Its refreshing due to the dark nature that you rarely see, but not too dark where it pisses you off and makes you want to smack something. I like how the story progresses and how the characters develop.

When I read into a few chapters of this manga, I though, this is sick.
But after I've read until chapter 26
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
well, it's still sick.

I swear to god this manga is batshit insane, but I seriously started sweating reading it because I found it to be REALLY exciting (in a weird kind of way). As others said the main lead is pretty pathetic but as long as you fastforward the self-deprecating bits this is a pretty unique story. I enjoyed reading it, can't wait for the conclusion.
I'm usually not one for the dark/twisted genre but found this one to be superb. Odd to see such a low rating, I found this to be miles more interesting then "Onani Master Kurosawa".
Recommended if you're in for a wicked ride, but do keep it mind it's pretty self-destructive if I had to call it a name.

Way below Yuutai Nova

I read till ch20 and the story keeps dragging painfully. "I'm a perv! I'm a perv" -- grow a spine and move on!

It's disappointing to think that this was written & drawn by the same guy who did Yuutai Nova, which was much more imaginative and promising.
