Description
In a world where monsters called Yoma prey on humans and live among them in disguise, humanity's only hope is a new breed of warrior known as Claymores. alright, I take the blame. got sucked in good. art is on par with the story and fighting. it is just the right mix. further more, I found the mix of unnatural just the right amount. visual kind I mean. characters are well developed. had me confused for a while as they got lead in the story, but got under my skin soon. you get to feel for them. that is also the case with some of the villains actually. main characters arent almighty. you feel they are on a thin thread as the story progresses. sometimes the thread breaks.
what I am trying to say is that I dont really find anything wrong with Claymore. except an awesome storyline from now on. depending on what happens and how twisted it becomes, I will gladly give it a 10. for now, 9 it is.

First three volumes are slow, but from the forth and on you just cant stop reading once you start

This is a great manga. An Epic, like berserk. But faster pace and less offensive.

Claymore is goodness personified (or objectified? manganized?). At first glance it's not much: straight forward monster hunting, not so complex storyline, and a bit too few main characters (Clare and Raki).

But the longer you read, the more interested you became. The world start opening up, with more characters, more intrigues. The story starts having more layers of meaning. In the same time, our hero and heroines became more colourful and real.

The mangaka is also quite decisive too. YAGI Norihiro is one of the few storyteller who has the guts to kill characters when the story need. he remind me of George RR Martin , author of A Song of Ice and Fire series. I mean, he introduce a heroine, give her a life and past, then killed her in the next volume, just to make his point. He's good!

Before you dismiss this manga as a Shounen stuff, I recommend you try reading it until volume 6. You Will Get Hooked!

The only complaint I got against this series is the Shounen stuff. What it mean is that: the manga touch lightly upon sex stuffs and politics stuff. Come on! A fighting order composed of female only, that's the source of yuri right there. And romance between normal guys and Claymores are difinitely tragic tales. Politics? not enough details, both about the lands and the organization.

13 vols come and go, and my complaints are still the same. The additional details are not being supplied enough. In fact, we know quite a bit more about inhuman enemies than the situation of human countries.

Raki has matured quite a bit. He's got to be quite a ladies' man. Alas, the way this manga were being crafted, I doubt he will get all the girls though. It's so not harem-manga.

A really great manga series. Got trapped in it after the first chapter, just couldent stop and before i knew it, it was already morning. a must read!

One of the better manga. It's always interesting and very addicting. You always want to know what happens next. Definitely one of the must reads out there. Art is amazing and so is the story. You'll never get bored of it. I just wish there was more already

This manga is one of the best manga ever. Seriusly, this is just insanely good!
The manga gets better and better for every volym. I'm glad i started to read this, anyone who stop reading this is clearly a pure shoujo fan or only read vol 1 and got bored (how that's possible i don't know though).

This series is really awesome. Character development is top notch. Every character has his/her own story and is interesting. The past chapter Teresa is the best part imho. The artwork just gets better over time.

I think claymore is better than berserk. Berserk is dragging too long without really solving anything. Heck more than 20 years for a manga and its not even finished.

This manga is one of the best I've ever read. I'm putting it up there with Berserk and 20thCB. Claymore has everything you can ask from an action/adventure manga, except maybe for comedy, but you don't need comedy in an intense series like this one.

Thanks m-s and 10sigh for doing this kickass manga. Can't wait for next release, cliffhangers are killing me AHHHHHHHHHH
