It's the year 2020 AD, and Tokyo II is a city infested with crime. Women can no longer go out in the streets alone without being victimized. Not wanting their daughter to suffer the same fate, Tsukasa Kozuki's cop parents raise her as a boy. When they are suddenly killed by one of the yakuza's in-fights, Tsukasa is left orphaned on the streets along with her three brothers.

With no other options, she goes to the only person she can think of for help: pokerface Ryuji Shirogami, her classmate of 8 years and also the head leader of the powerful yakuza group, Kuryugumi. Ryuji, whose father was also a victim of the same yakuza fight, agrees to take her on as his personal bodyguard. As they set out to find their enemy, Ryuji slaps an increasing amount of debt onto Tsukasa, using all manner of ploys to keep the reluctant Tsukasa by his side.

this is one of my top 5 manga list, probably at 2nd or 3rd place....great comedy, hilarious and unpredictable jokes, not too corny romance, and wonderfully sharp and decisive art. sometimes you'd have to wonder how the characters' eyes appear so sharp like razor's an action-packed comedy that will satisfy any doubtful critics, and it's also one of the few manga that i can still laugh with tears streaming down my face for more than one time. read it, enjoy it, and i'll bet you'll come back and give A+++++++ feedbacks >.-

Tokyo Crazy Paradise and Skip beat are the only mangas where I have bothered to read more than once. Plot is well written and the romance is not too sappy. Lots of comedy and I wish they would publish this in english so that I could buy the books.

The artwork is not really good since this is an old series, but it's still fine. The story with witted humor & interesting plot is awesome. I love the mix of comedy & action. Strongly recommended!

This is an incredible manga, with a decent plot and a great mix of drama, romance and comedy. The art is rather old and "raw" at times, but the illustrator does draw the important panels well. Don't be discouraged by the incredible amount of text and read at least the first two volumes to make a decision. It only gets better as the story progresses.

If there's a complaint, it would be that the ending is rather open-ended in my opinion. It even seems that some of the secondary characters have a more "concrete" ending than the two main ones. I like to have complete closure, and that ending was a slight let-down, especially given how those secondary characters had decent endings.

At first I did not really like the art of this manga, but as I become entraced in the storyline, I grew to love the art and the whole manga itself! What is particular about this manga is the relationship between the two main characters, it is so well done that I would not have it done any other way! This manga is full of adventures, romance, and action! It is a must read for all shoujo fan!
