From KodanClub: Akira Shindo has been transferred to Fuga High School where she is almost raped by a group of young thugs. She meets Mahiru Suruga, a mysterious but beautiful girl with both arms in bandages. Mahiru is aloof and cold. Her motto is, "I will neither rely on others nor have anything to do with others." The two girls get caught up in a series of incidents at school and Mahiru, a strong fighter, always manages to sort them out. Mahiru starts to soften up, as she becomes friends with Akira, who loves to stick her nose into other people's business.
Mahiru's school life is turned upside-down as many people approach her. Kaede is a high school student training as a swordmaster under a senile old man, who turns out to be a real pervert and a fake. Mahiru's father also comes into the story and things get chaotic.
One day, Satoru Tsunami, a high school student and an aspiring reporter starts following Mahiru. He deeply respects Mahiru and considers her the strongest high school student and a rebel against adults. Why is Mahiru so strong? Satoru tries to find out her secret. Why has Mahiru shut herself out? What is going on inside Mahiru's mind?

Two volumes in, and it seems as though the main purpose of this manga is to watch busty girls get almost-raped, then beat up their attackers. The art's nice, if ridiculously out of proportion, and that's about it.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
And you never do get to see what's under the fricken bandages, which is the only reason I read through to the end. >_<

A nice martial arts/action manga with some good background story!
I find the manga Peridot very enjoyable to read, and not only because the ecchi contents. There's a little character development: the protagonist, Mahiru Suruga, is a very cool girl who doesn't care about the things around her. But when the story evolves she's begining open her heart toward her friends and people around her. There's also a sad background story about her and her mother. These things make the story very interesting.
The art of this manga is very good. I must say Mahiru Suruga is a very beautiful girl (well drawn), a very cool character and the bandages around her arms and hands make her even more mysterious, very stylish! The martial arts in the manga is not exceptional good, but still very nice.

Interesting manga featuring an action theme with a twist - the 'fists of steel reluctant fighter' character so often seen is female in this instance. Plenty of slapstick type humor and lots of fighting. As for the artwork - well it's a Hiyoko brand manga so it's top quality, and very ecchi.
It's not bad, the action is lacking, but the girls look great.
Fan service fiend friendly
There is no real story, but the art is nice, the fights are good, and above all else the fan service is terrfic
If you enjoy these kidns of mangas, be sure to 'read' peridot
it's pretty good
it pretty decent, i find it funny i thought it would be more serious in it but apperantly it has a lot of humor within it.
*yawn* got the first volume of this off IRC without knowing anything about it, it was such a waste of time. The story seems just about trying to get as many huge breasted girls into near rape scenes ... quite boring, I got far better things to do with my time then reading junk like this.
not bad for a semi-ecchi manga
this is not a bad manga... at first glance it might be pretty ecchi but the story behind it is quite interesting. it has potential... keep it up Hiyoko-san!
so far the girls are cute.
Book 1 so far, the girls are really cute & the almost naked girls are well drawn. Have potential.
