One day, on a whim, 20-year-old Minato dresses up in her friend's cute high-school uniform and goes out briefly into the city. To her horror, she ends up running into her stepbrother, Tooru, who is actually only months younger than her. Since he's cute, and a notorious player, Minato has had to deal with constant jealousy and suspicion from other girls all through their school days.
Amazingly, she manages to convince Tooru that she's actually someone who just happens to look a lot like his sister. He is so convinced that he starts trying to date her and, for various reasons, she goes along with it. What started as a simple joke is now evolving into the biggest lie Minato has ever told!

This manga's story develops slowly but promising. It has a good phase, will get you hooked up for more. It gets more and more interesting. Even though the ending is kind of obvious, but will get you wondering 'how' it goes instead.
Just finished the latest uploaded chap in chinese(ch 29), the most exciting one so far imo, since the real main chars' relationship is finally starting to change

I'm definitely not for stepsibling romances, however this one has potential. I like the art style, and the humor. Unfortunately there just isn't enough material yet to rate it too highly. At times I feel like there is not enough "history" being given... for someone who has lived over 5 years with another, even if you are distant, I feel like you would have more knowledge? But maybe that is just me.

As for the title...

My theory is that the liars in this are Minato (obviously) and Toru. However, I don't think Toru knows about Mina/Minato, but he acts cold/indifferent to her because he really likes her (hence him being a liar). And the other love interest is not as happy/nice as he appears to be, I don't trust him because he seems unstable.

I'd say the drawings are pretty average, but it's not to the point that it's bad.

But the story has really good plot, it keeps you reading it and wondering if

Drawings are pretty and very bright, the expressions of the characters are cute and nice too. The plot is okay, but it keeps you reading and wanting to know more of what's going to happen

I initially get to read this manga accidentally. fortunately, i chose to give it a go. The plot was the usual, but its got a good twist. Tooru is a wonderful character who seemed like a jerk but is really soft inside, you'll want to keep him forever. Read it. I've only read up to volume 2 so far, fortunately for me I can understand japanese. Volume 3 is not out yet... so sad...

A shoujo Oreimo.

The siblings' romance (not their personalities) is a lot like Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (Novel) with the roles reversed. Essentially, the premise is that were closer when they were younger, but the little brother started to act cold (and also, sleep around with random women... but in a self-abandoning sort of way, not feeling anything for them) toward his sister, the protagonist. She formed a bad opinion of him in return, and stopped trying to interact with him. But then one day by chance, she discovered an unusual side to him, which triggered them reconnecting. Just like in Oreimo, there's a lot of subtle characterization (like the protagonist's obsession with cleanliness) which makes you realize there's a hidden aspect to the siblings' history.

It's gold up through volume 3. The pacing is especially impressive in volumes 1 and 2. The romantic interactions are so cute and endearing, defying cliches and continually surprising you. It's impressive how the romance can be serious and engaging without ever feeling melodramatic. I mean, there's incest (not the kind that's played for laughs), secret identities, love triangles, but no melodrama...? I compared it to Oreimo, but it has none of the relationship angst that Oreimo exhibited at times. All I can say is that I'm so glad I read this manga.

The pacing has slowed down in recent chapters, though. Side characters have been more prominent, and the author is arranging for various characters to clash. I have faith that the author will let it take the story somewhere positive, but I have to say I prefer the earlier rapid and refreshing developments to these typical "build up to forceful resolution" style developments. Because the protagonist ends up being more indecisive and making more stupid decisions to facilitate that. She's usually smart and proactive (and cute!). Anyway, I expect the series to wrap up in a few more volumes, unless the story expands in scope (I hope it does! I'd like to see more happy flirting, but I fear the rest of the manga will just consist of resolving the main relationship...). To be clear, the manga remains very enjoyable.

Very funny, and not cliched. I like it a lot, DESPITE that I typically very much dislike the older female younger male category. It's definitely a fresh read from other typical step sibling romance mangas.
