When I first read the summary, te part where Moe says "put Eiko before me" I was thinking, huh? So you want your friend to date your boyfriend? Boyfriend care more for your friend than yourself? ...well, I misunderstood and due to that, this manga put me down, I set it aside for months and who knew comes the day I'll be reading it and now I've have finished it, and it turned out way better than I thought it would be, it shows how nice and caring Eiko and Moe are to each other, in their own interesting way and how strong their bond is, so much so that in the beginning it felt like some yuri thing, crazy~ and the guy's friendship too, very strong. The story also shows how people usually see the outer appearance rather than what's inside ze heart~ but then there'll always be some people that'll understand you for who you are. Plus this manga has funny parts and parts where it gives off lovey dovey feeling. Well overall it was wonderful spectacular magnificent storytelling and artwork ^_^ honestly speaking from the bottom of my heart.

Clingy Best Friend

I really don't understand this manga.

I was looking for best friend themes, but this... took it entirely too far. As a girl I'd hate to have a friend who dragged me along on her dates, especially when I was trying to give them room. I also wouldn't want my boyfriend to put my best friend before me. Like , huh? How does that make sense? Sure I would want him to treat her with respect and dignity, and I would want her to like him, but if she was his priority then there is a problem.

But the extra story, I liked the main girl and the guy she meets; however, her friend is, in my view, stupid.

Adorable

The girls' relationship may seem too close for some people, but I think it really works for them due to their personalities. One girl is brutally honest while the other can't seem to stand up for herself; so, when you have these two girls as best friends, we get a nice equilibrium.

The way the girls say things to their boyfriends like "you have to treat my best friend more importantly than me" is weird, but if they do find a man like that---they know they've got the right guy. So in that case, I think it's adorable how much these two treasure their friendship.

Also, I don't get that shoujo-ai feeling from this series, thank god. The girls just love one another as best friends who are always there for them, and I think that's sweet. Because this manga dealt with friendship, there wasn't nearly as much cliche scenarios as other shoujo manga. Yay!

(the extra story at the end was pretty cute too hehehe)

And the best part? This manga is pretty short-- so we get to enjoy a masterpiece that entertains but doesn't drag for a long time! I'd recommend this to anyone!

I'm so glad I have friends like Moe (not that "extreme").
I grew up with friends because my parents didn't take care of me
(not even at the age of 4 believe it or not - I was at home only to
sleep and eat) so I'm 70% Moe and 30% Eiko.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
If a guy is not going to accept that he's never going to be THE number one
then he doesn't deserve her. There are SO many other girls who think love
is more important than friendship so why not date them?
I think you can't even be friends with someone who has
'different values' or too different morals.

It was fun to read about the guys relationship too
and how are they thinking and why/what makes them think that way.

I've known my bestfriends over 10 years and I recommend this
to every girl who has a true best friend.

The extra story

was better than the main story. I really liked the extra. It's a cute love story. Of the main story, I liked the second chapter, which was narrated by the black hair guy. I thought the way he had these delusions regarding girls ldue to his sister was pretty entertaining.

after reading the reviews i thought i'd stumbled into something pretty good. Couldn't have been more wrong. The friendship was a bit creepy, more like shoujo-ai really. Also how can you expect your boyfriend to be more attentive to your best friend than yourself?! How can you even bear it? It's like the person is dating your friend and not you, and where's the point in that?? It's just stupid.

Also i felt more chemistry between moe and narugami than him and eiko. i thought moe's dialogue," Dating her really does mean dating me,in a way." was pretty creepy. dude, get over yourself!

Final complaint. The story has no resolution. You feel as if the story was abandoned midway through. So i guess this is the kind of story people either really hate or really love. no midway feelings. read at your own risk.

I love almost everything in this story. I would have given it a 10 if it wasn't for the extra. It was a fine extra, it just didn't mesh well with the rest.
I was smiling and laughing through out all of it until I reached the extra.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I just wish I could have seen more of Eiko and her boyfriend, and to have seen Moe get either with Eiko's brother or her ex.

It kept me smiling I would definitely recommend this.

Pretty Bad Frienship actually
by Hell_Clues

This is quite possibly the worst example of friendship ever. I'm the kind of person for whom friendship is important(not more than love though), not feeling I had a place in my family, friends were the only place I could relax. I consider people my friends regardless of distance or time, even without talking to them for decades. I've only come to dislike people after feeling that they weren't friends, regardless of big fights, my friends are my friends. But this is a story about a really shitty friendship actually. The girl loses interest in someone just because of one comment... that's ridiculous. In life people have to criticize you, and you have to take your flaws. And you should have to work on mitigating some of them. The idea of you being whatever and people having to like you anyway is ridiculous. It just shows what a bad person they are. Not to mention how would he had known how she felt, all he knew was that she wanted them to spend time together. Later on, she even points out how ridiculous it would be for someone in love to put another person aside from their lover as their top priority. Both friends end up being too needy, and both from complexes about not being liked or by being liked by a "superior" person. I had friends I saw everyday, them getting girlfriends would have been something I'd be glad about for them. There's plenty of people who's boyfriends or girlfriends hang out with their friend but she couldn't even make one day for him even after getting to know him. The girl in the fourth story would call her a wimp!*I really like the girl in the fourth story apparently!

The second part of the story starts off with a very real thing guys see if they hang out with girls(or girls see if they hang out with girls). And he's right as far as the girls feelings towards the guy were, neither of them cared one bit about him as a human being at all. That guy really was too good for her, and her friend was dumb about giving them space too. The second boy starts off lashing out at her(Like a little baby, though why not her friend, I figure it's because her niceness seemed fake to him but still off the mark there) but it turns into an interesting story around here. The third one just has an explanation from the girls side but it doesn't add much, since it's still more about the other girl's relationship with the boy, we do see her realize that she can't complain about the boy though. She also explains people only like her for her face but they don't, they dislike her for her personality and you can't blame them. They try to bring it up as her just saying whats on her mine but we see at the start that's mutated into her closing off everyone for the smallest thing.

There's no fourth continuation, the first boy could have used one, and that's a shame. The Fourth story is a pleasant one about a girl who helps one of her friends knowing she'll probably hurt her by discovering the truth about a scummy guy. She meets a decent boy along the way, while talking about people, why people would two time, date a cheater, and whether it'd be better to not say anything. I like what she said in the beginning about people who don't break up being wimps, totally agree, but the boy in this is even worst since he's not someone that fell in love and doesn't back out but someone who does it deliberately. Her friend's ending has her being an idiot but you've probably seen this in other manga or perhaps in person, luckily I don't care about her friend and the main girl ends up just fine.

One of the problems with this, in general, is that in the first three stories the friendship is twisted into almost/pseudo shoujo-ai territory. But it'll leave people who like that peeved(some people may feel down right insulted). It kinda screws it up for everyone by getting what a good friendship is really about wrong. A good friend doesn't just accept you, they try to help you by giving you advice, even if that means pointing out how you were wrong, and like I mentioned, if one little criticism is all it takes for you to come to hate everyone, then you are a pretty crappy person that no one can ever say bad things about(assuming it's to your face, people who talk behind other people's backs are crap). The boys in this are a better example of a good friendship(till one of them drops out of focus), almost every shoujo is a better example really. that sisters over misters is ridiculous and unnecessary, friendships don't always last forever(seeing as both characters only have one good friend each), and a lover is someone that gradually becomes as family in terms of importance, some friends can also reach that pleatau, so it's more a matter of who it is. So you have to wonder if it's suppose to be funny. If you read into it too much maybe, maybe only one of them, or maybe the writing just screwed that over. There aren't any answers since we aren't able to read their thoughts once they get a chapter. You can call it open ended but I wouldn't, I don't get that feel. It just isn't clear enough because it didn't bother or the writing fumbled.

The story telling is marred by stupid behaviour in the first chapter in a big way. The story telling itself seems good, and it starts to find some equilibrium by the second story. But it's still the story about people acting overly stupid. especially the second girl who's overly sensitive, insensitive(unable to sympathize with a friend that was hurt and crying!), and closed off.

how can I find another word rather than BEAUTIFUL?

everything is so simple, realistic yet so beautiful and heart-warming...When I read the first chapter, I called my friend and told her to read it! And what happened? there was no drama, no tragedy but it made us cry... It's a kind of friendship every girl longs for... And speaks of the boys, the boys are also amazing! Tsuchida is just like Eiko, a boy with a big heart. Narugami, he says
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Tsuchida shoud have gone with her (Eiko) instead. He's a sucker for a pretty face. I find her more cute than enough though...

god, I have ever found a guy in shoujo who can say those words! He loves her not because she's beautiful in apprearance but in soul!
I need more =(((( (though tbh, this is already enough), I really want to see Tsuchida ends up with Moe and those four can have a double date. ^^
Kazune-sensei, Aiji-sensei, thank you for having made a masterpiece!

The very first thing that striked me was the art. It was delicate, and like some comment below, resembled Sahara Mizu's. If it had been Kawahara sensei doing both the art and story, maybe I wouldn't love this manga as I do now, Yamakawa sensei's drawing was just exactly like how the story was: strange, fresh and delicate. I really love how Moe put Eiko above her boyfriend - how the story put friendship above love. It's something you rarely see in real life. I ,myself, having experienced the time when my best friend had a boyfriend and completely forgot about me, deeply impressed by Moe. Even the ending, which I dare say that it's not just me who expect a hug, a kiss or at least the holding hands, was still steadfast to its theme - friendship.
I'm really looking forward to reading another work from the partnership of these two mangakas.
