I thoroughly enjoyed this series and despite negative reactions to the art, there was something very cute and endearing about it. I like how the mangaka can portray honest emotions without sullying the mood. Even as she cried I felt sad and laughed and felt many things at once. That, and I like age gaps bigrazz

Note: I did not read the extra at the endÖ and never willÖ This review is solely for the main story Dear Mine

The cutesy story is full of great moments, that I found relatively unique (though a few clichéís will be foundÖ), that will make youíre heart melt. Beginning this manga I wasnít quite sure what to expect, the cover wasnít all that appealing to me, the premise was a common one in shoujo, and the only reason I began reading it was because I was bored. I was pleasantly surprised by the enjoyment I got out of this manga.

Plot- A very simple plot and it stays simple. The pace is amazing though! The slow developing relationship between Satoko and Fuuma was excellent, a great pace was set and kept between them for the duration of the story, beginning and ending their story perfectly!

Characters- I really enjoyed Satoko and Fuuma! They were great characters; Satoko was a very normal girl who is likable and upbeat. Fuuma is much more serious and stoic but gets so flustered at times, some his reactions are just so cute! While the mains were great the secondary characters howeverÖ they werenít as great. I didnít enjoy them all that much, some of them just got on my nerves to much. But as I continued to read I began to like them a bit better although they still didnít compare to the mains. (Though without them the story would be half as good as it is.)

Art- This art style isnít my favorite style but I could still enjoy it, even if at times it was a bit sketchy.

Other- The story is a romance, if youíre looking for a complex plot with many twists and turns skip this, I can see how you may find this a bit boring. If youíre looking for a comedy donít expect this story to be to funny either, contrary to what genreís its listed under this story doesnít have comedy. Not that thatís bad, but if youíre searching for a more lighthearted, carefree, hilarious manga this isnít really what youíre looking for.
I donít usually like large age gaps, four years is about as far as Iím comfortable with, anything more I get uncomfortable and start switching around the characters ages in my head so they are closer together in age. So with this story the two characters are seven years apart, thatís a stretch for me, what makes it even more unrealistic is that the boy is only ten, very young. However the boy is so mature that itís hard to think of him as ten, so with this manga I was again setting him a few years older than he was. But while I would have rather they were a bit closer in age I still liked their relationship and enjoyed this manga and recommend this for anyone interested.

8/10 ĖWas good

The plot has a "forced marriage" theme to it that really weighs down the plot. The characters lack of ability to communicate their feelings causes the usual cliche plot devices to crop up. Lastly, although the series calls itself a comedy, the characters are mopey and spend most of their time wallowing in self pity.

at first i didnt really liked it...cause it was a little bit confusing cause i dont really know who is the one talking and im getting the weird messages...<imagine that!>..but fortunately enough...i finally got used to it..

about the art...its not exactly the best...but i prefer it rather than over-the-bishie-art of somekind <that gives me creeps>

the story is also nice!! though i guess i expected too much..*coughmerupuricough*

overall it was pleasant read!! fuuma was so great!!! he is so mature!!! i really think that he is even more mature than older people..about satoko...i didnt really think that she is annoying...shes tough in her own way...

read it!! dfinitely recommended!!

this was incredibly sweet! i was hesitant to read something with such a huge age gap difference. well, as it turns out, this 10 year old boy is more of a man than many other guys ive read in other mangas. hes hard working, caring and even at the age of 10, tries his best to protect the things he loves. hes a hell lot smarter than alot of other manga guys too. haha.

the only bad points are...the art is not thattt superb...and i wish they did a '10 years later' scene afterwards. i wanted to see the part where they get married, etc!

the first time I stumbled upon this manga, I was a scanlation virgin. A girl 7 years older than the guy, that is so wrong. That's what I thought. After all a while, I decided to read the manga, and it has been one of my all time favorite shoujo manga. I don't know what to say, except just go read it already! You won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this manga it reminded me a bit of Kimi wa Boku no Mono except there is no obstacles other than the age difference. Although the art is nothing to brag about it was cute at times. What could have made this one better was to have speed up a few years ahead and show wether or not they at least make progress. Overall though i cannot complain, although i myself enjoy the same age or older male character with the heroine the fact that his mind was so mature it left me satisfied.

I admit I don't really like the idea of an older girl X younger boy couples, maybe I am being strictly conservative for my shoujo's... but this is an exception. I love how the story was made. Everyone should read it.. over and over!!

I really liked this manga. It was very, very cute. The art wasn't the best, but the story was adorable, and the characters were nicely developed. The age gap wasn't really a big deal to me... and really, I don't think she would be a pedophile. A pedophile is an adult who is sexually attracted to young children. She's not sexually attracted. And really, she didn't want to get married to him in the first place. Very cute. For shoujo readers, I would reccomend it.
