To be honest, I don´t really get why this Manhwa has such a high ratings. Sure, it had a decent plot and nice characters, but I just couldn´t get myself to like it wholeheartedly. Why? well, I will try to explain that as much as I can.

Basically, I considerd this to be a lighter version of the manga Berserk, but unlike Berserk it became boring after 10-20 chapters or so. Don´t get me wrong, this Manhwa was good, but lacking in many areas. For example, some of the characters was not developt enough and they could easily fade away from the memory. Sando was one of them, she was one of the main characters but I could still not really remember her after she joined the Aji tae team. I didn´t feel like it was something missing, and that proves that Sando was not fully developt.

Now to the Spoilers:

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
*Sigh*....Munsu. I really liked him, I really did. Until the authors decided to put a woman in his life and make him a love-struck man. Sacrifice your health and take over her sickness....I mean...Really? That´s too much Shounen for me to handle, and this is considerd to be a Seinen manga. I just couldn´t stand this whole romance thing going on either, it felt so incredibly cliché that I didn´t....know what to think.

The endning was good though, so you don´t have to worry about that.

Either way, this manhwa may be considerd as...pretty dark by some people, but It could´ve easily passed for a more darker Shounen, because there wasn´t that much of a explict or gore content in it ( In my opinion ).

I´m giving this a 6 because I felt it was incomplete, I also felt that it had many plotholes that could´ve maid this Manhwa even better if covered. I don´t know if there was some problem with the sales of this manhwa or something, but the ending felt a bit rushed ( Although it was pretty good ).

i loved it. i didn't know why i didn't read this before. it was on my reading list for a couple of months now and i just picked it up two days ago....

i love it so much, the stories, the characters, the setting. the never ending twists. it was a giant roller coaster for me. the end was so bittersweet. i'm glad that it ended that way but it was still bittersweet.

this is definitely one of my most favorite manhwa out there. Munsu is a great great character. i'm so glad to have read this

I just through the whole series in a manner of days (yes I'm crazy..) and I gotta say, I was hooked. It was thoroughly entertaining throughout. A very tragic story with twists and turns here and there. Munsu was a great main character. Originally this series reminded me of Berserk but it turned out different. I loved the ending chapters and the epic battle.

The main issue I had was with Sando. I wish we knew more about who she was and where she came from. Even if she was one of the main characters I wish we had more development and focus on her. Still don't understand her outfit, either bigrazz

Incredible piece of work. This isn't your average manga where the good always wins. The seriousness and maturity put into the plot have given readers a new kind of thrill. Only those who are mature and are ready to experience the feeling of intense carnage and tragedy should read this.

A must read! Great characters. Great story and some real good charcters... Wish i had the strength to write a good review but not needed... all you need to know that this is one of the greatest out there...
What i love about the Manhwa that ive read about so far (this and The breaker) is that these Korean guys dont play around.
Serious, heavy, stuff with humor on the side. Not shit load of Slapstick and corny dumb characters! Then again i've only read a few Manhwa so far but boot been 10/10

Fantastic tragic manga, however there really is a lot of heart wrenching moments. I find myself raging a lot when reading this manga, so while I can recognize the good work put into it, its not something I can enjoy in any peaceful way.

Amazing manhwa, definately one of the better ones out there....
I usually don't read tragedy, but after the first few chapters i got hooked on the storyline, artwork is pretty good as well and I HIGHLY recommend giving this a try, even if you aren't a fan of tragedy.

The artwork is wonderfully done and the story is not too shabby, but it's honestly longer than it should be. It takes tragedy to an absurd level by the end so much so that it's hard to take the story seriously once it's over. If you can look past that you may enjoy it. I wouldn't care to read it again.

Dark and Mysterious... yet Pleasant...

I didn't care too much for the beginning at first, but thinking back on it now it really covered things quite nicely. To my surprise, it only got better and better. The plot envelops without any major "side-stories" that'll distract you from it, which plays a good role of keeping the reader immersed in the storyline.

Before I get into spoilers, this is one of the greatest mangas I've read. It reminds me a lot of a Gaku Miyao series called "Kazan". Yes SAO is much darker and more "mature", but I feel that it still has some of the intensity that SAO has.

Do yourself a favor and check this series out. It has some of the longest chapters ever, but each page is VERY entertaining. I give you my word on that.

Shin Angyo Onshi has a dark mood enshrounding it all the way until the
Spoiler (highlight to view)
very last chapter. The ending really supported one of the morals of the story: let the dead rest in peace. Throughout Munsu's life, he never really had a true moment of "peace." It was always plagued with tragedy, misfortune, and sorrow. But when he dies, and reunites with all his friends, he is finally at peace with those he loves.

Also, some fret about how Sando and Munsu didn't develop much of a relationship. I feel that it was the best for the story, albeit I do feel the same way. Munsu already had his girl and Sando already had her man. Both are dead, so they can partly sympathize with each other except for the fact that Munsu had to live with the curse/illness.

One thing I do feel was integrated in more was Sando's change to the dark side. Although it was pulled off quite well, I felt she was ignored for waaayyy too long. I still love the fact that her innocence pulled through in the end.

End of rant. I love this series. I feel that it is one of the few that I'll be able to re-read...seeing as how I want to re-read 10 minutes after finishing the series lol.
