Koizumi Kanna is infatuated with the man who came to the restaurant she works at and ordered a burger with no onions. Little does she know, Toujou Ren is interested in her as well, but for a different reason. Kanna just so happens to be the mirror image of a woman he knew a very long time ago. It is for that reason that he saves her when she nearly dies in a car accident. But the life he gives Kanna is far different from the one she lived before, and she's not certain it's the kind she wants...

Good until the end
I love this manga. The complexity and art is amazing. However, I find the ending extremely unsatisfactory. It was like a kind of anticlimax for me and I would have much preferred something different, even if it's a change from the traditional kind of ending.
I enjoyed the manga up till the very end where I felt majorly disappointed. Though a over all good read with awesome artwork...the ending just freaking bit the big one. I am so mad.
It starts out really interesting, then loses itself in a boring rambling mess.
I found this series to be quite bloody and eerie. Because so little is said throughout, I found it difficult to follow it at some parts. The mangaka's intention is to keep readers hooked and left in the dark at some points for that "cliffhanger" effect. Overall-- quite an enjoyable series. I can't wait until the next chapter comes out.
A must read!
definitely a must read! The storyline is really good and keeps you turning the pages.
****after completing the manga*** I must say that it became pretty climactic towards the end, I didn't expect those things to happen, but it left me feeling like there SHOULD BE MORE VOLUMES!!!! lolz, nways, it was definitely an enjoyable read, everyone should give it a go. I think it might be one of those timeless things later on.

Nice art, story can be better
What save this manga from a bad rating is the art, which is gorgeous in its simplicity and subtle use of tone. The characters always look beautiful but kind of sickly, which enhances the effect of vampirism. While the storytelling is not bad, the pacing is a little off. Frankly, it rushes to the end so quickly that the readers can hardly understand what has happened. There is very little character development, being a 3-volume series. I guess I would recommend this series because the subdued art is too nice to pass up, but don't have too much expectations for it. If you get confused near the end, just know you're not the only one. I'm going to reread this series during my winter break and can, hopefully, understand the ending.

from the description I expected it to be more deep than it occured to be, I hardly finished it. As far as I remember (see? I didn't even bother to do so), the male character was sadistic in a way I din't like, while the girl was a typical shojo naively stupid, both were irritating me a lot, they weren't realistic and had no development. I wanted something really psychological, but their relationship was not convincing. the ending was confusing, abrupt, it left the impression of a non-finished plot, a dropped stuff. The art is lame, what is it with dudes looking 100 % the same as girls? okay, girls were drawn normal, but sometimes while skimming through it gave me a hard time to tell a dude from a chick...
In a few words, it's a read-and-forget manga.

deep story, beautiful people..
.. did i say beautiful people? the artwork is amazing! the people are so pretty. the storyline itself is deep and wonderful in it's own nature. a very refreshing read! both in content, characters, character personalities, and such. i'll give it a 9, it was missing something i just can't quite place.. but read it! it'll make you think. (at least it made me think~)
not really that significant but..
Spoiler (highlight to view)
i was wondering wtf the 'vampire girl' title had anything to do with the story. i was like 'huh?' call me dense, but i didn't even think the story would have anything to do with vampires! XD and if you're reading this before you've read the series, YES THE CHARACTERS ARE VAMPIRES! >D doesn't that make it so much more amazing!? .. of course you might have realized that if you had any common sense, unlike me..

When do they actually remember their vindication? Life is a vicious cycle. History repeats itself and all that crap tied down 90% into the manga's end. That never sits well with anyone.
Could've wished for a better execution. Though I get where the title's coming from now.

A real good read
I agree with albeitalways, this is really good. I enjoy that it is different and not a "love will win" happy ending. It has dept. Although I also agree in the fact I wish the mangaka would have went into a little more detail about the boy with the toy and how it is all connected, I feel the mangaka probably felt rush to finish it.
