Koizumi Kanna is infatuated with the man who came to the restaurant she works at and ordered a burger with no onions. Little does she know, Toujou Ren is interested in her as well, but for a different reason. Kanna just so happens to be the mirror image of a woman he knew a very long time ago. It is for that reason that he saves her when she nearly dies in a car accident. But the life he gives Kanna is far different from the one she lived before, and she's not certain it's the kind she wants...

not too bad
if you like dark psychological mangas this will be the drug that sucks you in.
it talks about life, revenge and death alot...the plot was orginal and you could almost feel their suffering. however everything was explained far too vaguely. the pieces of the puzzle weren't placed properly in the ending.
SPOILER i assume that the meaning of the ending implies the re carnation of the roles of wana and ren have switched...but that does not explain anything! does it mean the revenge killing spree is over? then whats with the 'next time i will kill you first' thing. is the mangka seriously suggesting that the live to kill each other (-__-"")?! i thought they deeply loved each other. i also dont understand how the death of the police and his sister is relevant to any part of the story either. or why the sister talked to ren before dying...
i think in the end it felt like the mangka had not made her point clear and had no idea what she was talking about...in reference to the meaning of life, death and their recarnation...

if you like depressing mangas...
the first chapters were usual shoujo which contains mystery, which was very nice for me... then it became depressing and more depressing(and mystery was still on). but there was still romance. the drawing is really good. *spoiler* if you like sad endings you should read this *spoiler*
Oh, no... the worst thing that I like is doing a bad review. The manga started good... Innocent and umm... like a teenage shoujo. Then the mysteries came and I was a bit intrigued. I really hoped that the ending was not like what I expected... and it came true. It was not. But I don't know... I don't like that kind of ending either. It was confusing and a bit... over-thought--if there was such a word. I hate doing reviews like this. I regret giving bad ratings but I felt that I won't give justice if I ranked it a bit higher than what I think it deserved. So, yeah... I finished the 2-vol manga, and....I don't want to read another one like this again. I think, I'll stay away from Fujiwara-sensei's work for now... sorry...
This manga was very good to start. About 7-8 (rating) Midway through, there was some added drama so it turned out to be a solid 8. In the beginning of the 3rd volume, everything was confusing, shit was popping up that didn't even tie up with the end, the last chapter introduced 4 new characters, their basic problem, their relationship with each other, and a VERY vague time setting, but their relation to the main characters wasn't even reveiled.
Art was very original, and somewhat like manhwa, so I enjoyed it immensely =)
But the end barely summed anything up and left you to assume the rest.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
eg, We assume that Wana keeps on waiting for Ren and eventually meets the reincarnation of him.
I gave this manga a 4.7 for the psychological plot which was pretty original, but WAY too flimsy. It was too random as if the manga-ka just made 4 plots, put them into a sort of gun, and fired it into a book, and gave that to the editor. And even that got destroyed, so they got an assistant to get the left over bits and pieces of the pages and pieced them together.
Like this: "And in this chapter...This guy will come in...And he'll do...I dunno that page is missing...He'll do something bad!! Yes he will be a bad person...OH! Let's make him a vampire!! Yes that's good...Draw a vampire guy there..."
I might be too vicious but i'm just so disappointed that a manga that had such a great beginning fell to this
Nicely Done Original Story
Although the artwork is fine (but non-distinctive), the strength of this manga lies in its storytelling. The story flows linearly but the way the mangaka fragments it, helps echo the mental state of the characters and adds dramatic effect to the reading, IMHO. I thought this was a nicely done original take on old themes (i.e., vampires, destiny/fate). Good stuff and definitely worth the read if you're looking for something a little more cerebral than the average manga...
Starter off really interesting
Started off really interesting, however, the sub-plots were a little clumsily delivered and the pacing was a bit slow. By the time I read chapter 9, I was so bored with the manga.
What pity though that the art was good but the plot so-so.
It starts out really interesting, then loses itself in a boring rambling mess.
If you wanna break out this world
The series starts of relatively normally but it quickly gets dark and it's definitely different from most other manga out there.
What I like best about this is that it tells you the story but lets you draw your own conclusions though in that sense it is harder to understand it instantly.
For those who want something light, funny and easy to read, don't bother with this manga. This isn't anything like any of those things. This manga makes you think hard.
It's creepy, morbid, beautiful and utterly addictive.
i like it, it's about vampires ! need i say more?
I found this series to be quite bloody and eerie. Because so little is said throughout, I found it difficult to follow it at some parts. The mangaka's intention is to keep readers hooked and left in the dark at some points for that "cliffhanger" effect. Overall-- quite an enjoyable series. I can't wait until the next chapter comes out.
