This manwha was a masterpiece in every way. Alright, it bears a really close resemblance to Cowboy Bebop(compare Spike to Munsu and you'll see what I mean), but I'm not complaining. The ending, despite being a little unsatisfying in a way, was still great and conclusive (I say that because I hate series with cliffhangers ending that leaves room for sequels that never comes out).

Well ! Never read any manga which had super good story like this one. It was somehow hard to understand at first. At about vol. 11 or 12, it explained the whole story , at that time, you will know how good it was.I like the main character, he was super cool man and the way he talk, act is unique, never seen once alike. The the ending is super sad.Really recommend!!!!!!!!!!

Action and drama, tragedy and comedy -- this is the rare series that has everything you could possibly want in a well-balanced story, all blended flawlessly. And at the center of this is Munsu, one of the most charismatic antiheroes to live on paper.

Shin Angyo Onshi is, simply put, an incredible manga. The plot is smart and innovative and heart-wrenching in terms of the emotions it achieves, and the art is simply beautiful.

The biggest draws of the manga for me was it's strong, memorable cast of characters. Munsu is one of the most appealing protagonists in a work of fiction that I have ever seen. He is a sympathetic character but he's also impossibly cool. Aji Tae, on the other hand, has to be one of the most impossibly vile villains I have ever seen. The comic relief Bang Ja came off as suitably likable and fun most of the time. Sando is a sexy, strong and hugely sympathetic female lead, who was one of my favorite character to watch. Other sexy (and interesting) female characters like Hwang, Marlene, Mago, and Kye Wol Hyang only added to my enjoyment of the series.

All in all a fascinating series. A must read for anyone who enjoys good manga.

Definitely one of the best mangas I've ever read.
Almost NO cliches at all. Especially in the first few chapters of fights.
The fights don't drag on, what happens is realistic, and the artwork is incredible.

The ending is fitting. but the only thing that bugged me was the flashbacks. god did i get bored reading those o.O

Reading and completing this made me think back that i was in my right mind to pick it up. I loved how the mangaka used charaters from the actual past to make this manga into something great. The art really flowed well, and the story made me want spend all my time reading it.

The charater development was i little off, case it point, i still don't know the past of some of them, even Aje Tae (one of the most evil people i ever read in a manga), but i have to say also that this manga revolved around Munsu's adventures and past.

And lasr but not least the ending, kinda abrupt and you could actually predict it coming but great end, sad but great. I recommend that people who are looking for a good manga to read and be drawed into, start reading.

This is a pretty good manga, but nothing great. The tragic tone at the beginning really captured my interest, but it disappeared and the story became the typical good-vs-evil fight.

The main problem with this manga is that very few characters got any development. Most characters, including the main villain, have no history so it's impossible to understand or care about them.

The ending felt like it was rushed. Villains are thrown in with no introductions just so that the good guys have opponents to fight. The villains were defeated way too quickly and easily. And a ton of interesting questions (like what creature the main villain is) were left unanswered.

His art is something that i have to admit borders on being extraordinary. although theres always something lacking in the plots of the authors that he decides to draw for. It always leaves me not completely satisfied when im done reading. This effect probably stems in greater part because his mangas are usually dark and tragic. But I believe that it also stems from the fact that his conclusions are all pretty much done in a style that leaves little bits and pieces of untied strings leaving the audiences to piece together the missing parts (this is so with zombie hunter, legend of soma, island etc, as i came to believe. whether u think it so yourself is for you to decide.) . Hrmm anyways his mangas leave me hanging. i know many authors outside the works of mangas such in films, books etc also leaving things hanging like the ending of sopranos for instance and many people hate it (few appreciates it). My personal belief is that an author's job is to weave a story that people can immerse their conscience in and throughly enjoy the make believe. it is their duty to follow through with them to the very end making sure that their journey has been a memorable and an enjoyable experience for the majority. in this respect my thoughts on the mangaka he draws for makes me somewhat sad. Its a good read, give it a try and i recommend few of his other works as well which are all drawn beautifully.

and for those who have a problem with me giving it an 8, well in my book 8s a great score, in fact its only 2 off from perfection
