Description
Kyo Aizawa's father is a basketball devotee but has been forced to quit playing his precious sport because of an injury. Instead of himself working his way up to the NBA, he feels that Kyo, his daughter should fulfill his dream. To give Kyo a good start in her career of basketball he enrolls her in Seishu High School which is known for two things: its extremely cute girls' uniforms and their boys' basketball team. Not only does unhappy Kyo have to pretend to be a boy during the day (the basketball team members all live at the school to boost the team spirit), she has to do it day and night. The super-star of the team, Chiharu Eniwa, may be a good-looking, basketball champion, but his attitude towards Kyo is hostile from their very first meeting. Poor Kyo ends up roommates with the evil Chiharu. As they get to know one another, both sense that the other has a secret.

lol...this manga is highly amusing and witty in my opinion...in fact, i've reread this for 5 times or more already. however, i have to agree that the ending was horrible...it has a very weak and stupid conclusion, which didn't explain much about what's going to happen to the main characters.....nonetheless, if you're looking for a cute and funny manga for some pastime reading, you should try this manga...i laughed so many times and i even cried for sometimes because of the hilariousness xD

Why does everyone always talk about this with Hana Kimi??

Uh...first of all, Power is amusing, but I have no desire to reread it. The ending is horrible, so stupid. Hana Kimi isn't my favorite series, but I think it's definitely better than Power. Everyone says that Hana Kimi fans would like this series, but I think that each series suffers from the constant comparison; the plotline has a lot in common, but liking one series absolutely doesn't guarantee you'll like the other. Sorry, maybe I'm just vindictive today because I've had a bad week...maybe I'm just being stupid. sigh...

if you like Hanazakari no Kimitachi, you'll like this too. It's freaking funny!!! Even though the art isn't so great. But the substance is excellent. It's only volume two the her secret is already out......wow.........that is fast.......

Good laugh for first read,

The art for this series isn't bad, and it switches between high quality to low quality art every once in a while so that got on my nerve a bit. The story is decent as it didn't go anywhere nor did anything too significant. Most of the characters were introduced but never went in depth to them. Could've been way better manga if the author thought things out a bit more and used the characters more.
Good read the first time through, but i wouldn't read it again after that.

i found this manga to be extremely funny and entertaining. reading other comments, i find it pretty dumb saying it's copying hana kimi since there's plenty of manga with the girl disguising herself in an all boys school environment. even some movies have this plot. power has it's own humour that i find hilarious and i ended up liking it even more than hana kimi.

first of all whats up with giving a 9outof10 for something u call
~its okay. not like extraordinary or anything. :D~
well i know ppl in gamemagazines give crap ass games they hate and write bad about 8outof10 and think they really gave it a bad score
OK=5-6
bad=3-4
crapassbad=1-2
good=7-9
perfect(for person giving score)=10
well nevermind that
...
i like power
of cours lots of stuff is taken from other manga titles
i cant think of any new "thing" with never before seen story,art,u name...
there is 1 original then there r copys and variations.

i like power
alot more than say hana-kimi
first of all power is not as long so the plot doesnt get dragged out
so it never really gets boring like hanakimi gets every so often
art is good i say
its funny and sad at times o0o0o
i laughed alot while reading it
well it have all the things that make it a really good
sport shoujo manga.

well i dont know... i just got a little pissed off about the~looks to much like hanakimi buhuu talk~

How is this not plagerism

I think this seems way too similiar to hana kimi to be just coincidental.
I like it but I also liked hana kimi- Japan must have looser plagerism laws- at least it's starting to diverge a little bit in the later chapters- but still what the heck.
I don't know if i could really recommend a manga when the mangaka is such a hack.
