Im not really attracted to vampires and all that stuff, but after watching this anime and now reading the manga, I am amazed! The most beautiful character I have ever seen is Kaname. Good work, Hino, for creating something so gorgeous like him and the story altogether!

Honestly, I had high hopes with this manga in the first arc.
but after she became a vampire... I stopped reading it. for some reason, it suddenly became so BORING, and for some reason, the artwork DETERIORATED as well... sigh. I hope Hino will just end the series and start doing a new one. (I missed Hino's artwork, but I ain't gonna read this again)

Holding on to the 'old VK'

Read some comments about VK here as I thought that I couldn't be the only one that this have gotten from one of the best mangas I've read to something.. like this..

It was a fantastic manga at start. I fell very hard for the beautiful art and all the good-looking vampires. The story was a bit complicated but I thought that it would all turn out in a simple, good way.

Many of you thought that VK became boring after Yuki turned into a Vampire. For me, I thought it was even more exciting than ever.

But after that.. When they started to live together, I had high expectations. But No. Everything was going downhill. Kaname started to be a creep. Yuki was doing boring stuff all around. She seemed so passive in everything that was happening. She said that she cared about Kaname, but it didn't look like that. Neither that Kaname cared about her. And Zero's stuff did not catch my attention and everything is losing it's meaning.

VK has lost its plot. So everyone are just walking around, doing weird stuff. More mysteries are coming up and almost none of them are getting solved in my opinion.

I don't actually know why I keep reading the new chapters. I guess it is for the art. But I kinda lost hope about that it's getting better. Since the whole manga is pretty depressive; why would it be a happy ending?

But because of my deep 'love' for the early VK, I can't rate it lower than 10. Even if it's not near 10 right now.

First arc. Nice. Second arc. Nicer.

To be honest, I like the second arc. A lot.
Things got revealed - but yet, there are more secrets hidden in the twilight, having the mangaka giving a piece after a piece... I am also comfortable with the changed drawing style - since it's not that much shojo-fluff as it was in the first arc. (Maybe I am getting too old. wink )

Complaining about angsty and depressing, boring things - nope. The plot gets a bit slowed, but on the other hand it is a bit more psychological inbetween - until it gets faster again with another "enemy" showing up.

So for me it's the same with the first arc. Nice and lovely things to see, having someone acting from the background, Zeros twisted personality, Yuukis insecureties, Kanames intentions. Sweet and dark. smile

Since I like a slightly dark atmosphere, twisted characters, the whole-trust-betrayal-topic and guessing what Kaname is up to... I keep on reading. And reading. wink

/Read: 77.

Yuki turned into vampire by Kaname. worst at all, She is originally a vampire to begin with, not even a human. not that I care but it would be better if it was human and vampire love relationship.
now, what really make me sad and frustrated is Yuki is not like her usual self anymore, being gloomy, dark, serious about her duty and at certain point, her best friend, Sayori/Yori seems to be forgotten. it was Yori who always look for Yuki, even knowing the danger. I like the friendship portrayed by Yori to Yuki. but I might stop read VK now and look to another one that less dark.

I admit I couldn't help but sympathize with some of the comments already written but I think most of that is because the story isn't predictable any longer nor has it become your cliche vampire romance. Yes it's a little slow but I still believe there is an interesting twist regarding Yuuki, Kaname and Zero yet to come. So read it and just be patient. There is still more that can happen between the three and I hope it doesn't end anytime soon.

This is so frustrating. The story was alright at first, with the day and night class and stuff like that. Yuuki was such a fun character in the beginning together with Zero, and then Hino sensei had to turn her into a vampire. Fine. Then Kaname started becoming more and more like a jerk, with his shallow personality, while Zero became more and more immature. Why can't he accept Yuuki already and just get on with it?! Then, Kaname had to spoil everything again by killing Aidou's father, and disappeared, without telling Yuuki why, and this just shows how selfish he is. And sometime Kaname acts like an old man while Zero acts like a child all the time. But, I'm still looking forward to the next chapter of VK, as always, because Kaname is such a hottie! Yuuki is also very beautiful, and the quality of artwork has not declined at all (in my opinion). Anyway, I hope VK will end soon, and hopefully with a good ending, as this manga has dragged on for far too long. ^_^

Different up until it got all messed up and confusing. I'm such a sucker for really good art,so I decided to try this...moreover,with the vampire hype going around sometime ago, this really caught onto me. But VK had been a BIG letdown; far from what it used to be,thrilling and deeply mysterious. The characters started off well, and the plot thickened as the chapter progressed. Romantic relationships between the trio were even the most exciting. Time skip and Yuuki starts to become a wee bit too serious and self-absorbed about her own duties and blah. She actually turned out more annoying as she

transitioned into a vampire than when she was still human.

Zero was my favorite despite being emotional and all. He managed to prolong that side of his, though, and it seemed like his plans of actually doing anything stops short just as he gets closer. And sadly,no character development...
Don't even get me started with Kaname. Not that I have anything against this character, but, well,I'm just not too crazy about manipulative lovers at all.
Simply put, this was a real drag. The plot isn't going anywhere anymore and it almost seems like the author is still trying to come up with another storyline, so it starts going nowhere. I also have to comment on the huge difference on the art,way back from the first volume from when Hino closely paid attention to the details in her characters...ugh.

This used to be my all-time manga before.

But I don't know what happeneed, its like everything after rido just got all confused and stupid.

Before this was the best manga ever. Personally I think the charector slowed down, and she tried to make new charectors, with little development.

THE WORST CHANGE, was changing her drawing style, before she used to pay attention to the details, but now she doesn't even put the pupil in the eyes.

Personally I wouldn't recommended it anymore, because the farther you go the worser it gets.
