For 820 years he had slumbered with no knowledge of mankind's advancement and scientific progress. The land which he once knew has become an unfamiliar place with new technology, attitudes, and lifestyles. Upon awakening, Cadis Etrama Di Raizel (called Rai), seeks to familiarize himself with this era. He locates a loyal servant of his, Frankenstein, who is currently the principal of a high school in South Korea. Rai decides that this school is the perfect place to help him learn about the modern world, enrolls, and begins associating with a group of good-natured students in order to 'blend in.' But this new world is no safer than the old; and the dignified, bewildered, technologically inept Rai finds himself embroiled in adventures both ridiculous and dangerous.

Can't stop reading it

My first reaction when i read these series was... what the?? since it was my 1st webcomic, the comic-strip format and those short pages per chapter were weird for me. Nonetheless, i kept reading it because.. Bishies!! Yep, bishies all around. Then after more than 20-30 chapters the story turned out to be enjoyable.. it was interesting!
Now, i'm waiting every chapter to come out. I feel obliged to comment on this series since i already enchanted by this series. 180+ chapters, i can feel my adrenaline rush out~

This is the second best series I've ever read, (I love One Piece more still).

It starts out a bit slow with alot of questions arounds and it keeps interesting and fun all the time up to the action starts. I love how when you see the action you still don't know exactly how strong they are and it keeps up all the time. As the series goes along it progress faster and faster and I'm getting goosebumps every time I read a new chapter now.

It's kept me interested since chapter one. The humor is spot on. There is quite a bit of fighting and power levels but somehow it continues to stay fresh. If your looking for a "smarter" shounen/action series then this is it.

when i first read this i thought the drawings are a bit odd and nothing happens much, so i thought its dull . But after some time the drawing gets better and the story...? do i have to say the obvious? it is superb. I'm glad that i decided to give this manhwa a chance even though at first i find it boring.

So for those who haven't read it yet, bare for with it for a little while, at least until you get to the part where Rai meets the head master. Then prepare yourself for a total turn of events. Don't worry it is going to be worth it. ^^

Whatever i say it would probably be little about this one since the ratings talk themselves.I like it's humor.Every two chapters there will be usually sth really funny. The fights are also pretty awesome. It's also funny how this manhwa uses some cliche in a funny way.But most of all i like the lack of your average shounen cliche:1)The beautiful female stays alive?Nope.2)Any pathetic male lead?Nope, they all kick ass and they have a very human personality which is not based on a flaw and overcoming that like it's usually done on shounen.

Art is also very good.I have seen better on other web comics, but the style of the characters hair look, clothes etc is not ordinary and functions as a nice escape.

Just read.

It's one of the few series that I'm tempted to give 10/10 because it all fits so seamlessly together. The plot is interesting and develops but still has some constant unalterable points. The characters are interesting and still have bits unknown to the readers despite nearly 200 chapters, I also think the comedy in this is perfect, and fells like it's not going out of it's way to be funny. And the art is good. I would definitely recommend reading it.

It may be a bit boring sometimes, because it can be slow, ant there are always the same jokes (even if I love them laugh ), but when the action comes (like around chapter 60!!!!) it becomes really really exciting eek ! I'm glad I didn't stop reading it. Battles are truly good. The first battles are really powerful, so I wonder how it will be in the future confused I'm a bit worrying that the author won't be able to handle that matter cry <<< 12/05/11, chapter 181 : I'm not worried anymore, everything is getting more and more attractive. What a suspense !

The characters are loveable. How comes it's a shounen and there are almost only bishounen ? So both boys and girls can love this manga.

In some ways in the battle it starts to seem to bleach ! <<< 12/05/11, chapter 181 : how can I compare this jewel to bleach ?

I honestly love this manhwa. It's interesting, funny, mysterious, has a bit of a nostalgic comic book feel to it at parts, has beautiful, "elegant" artwork, and is of course chock full of bishie heroes and side characters. It has some drawbacks (for example sometimes you want to look at something in between the achingly beautiful and grotesquely deformed from too much power--and other times you wish the main character would stop sipping tea and do something, or at least say something) but in my opinion the positives far outweigh these things. The art and style change a whole lot through the course of its very many many chapters (some like the change, some don't--I like it) and the plot has its high action parts and much slower humor mini-arcs where Rai gets lost, sips tea, and he and Frankie watch lively high schoolers play board games and mess up their clean home. It breaks up the action nicely and gives a chance to be lighthearted in between all the sciency supernatural plot thickness.

This is pretty much your average shounen series bundled with an overly dreamy bishounen cast usually found in a shoujo setting, which is a very good formula to *cough* appeal to readers of both genders . The fights themselves are pretty much what you expect, we have power levels (I think the main character himself refers to some kind of 'eye-level'), constant one-upping, scrapping the power limiter, more hidden powers, and then power levels a few more times, and then the overpowered final boss steals the spotlight, every single time.

But of course, we're not here for some kind of realistic combat or a struggle for survival in a post-apocalyptic world. We're here for handsome elegant vampires doing elegant things, badass scientist fighting in mid-air, our most venerable protagonist dazzling every girl within sight, and inappropriate humor. Did I mention it is fully colored and gorgeous?

does the author unable to draw well if the bishies don't put one hand in their pocket? previously, i said this is a good webcomic, but sorry, after reading a bunch of webcomics and graphics novel, i don't think this piece is good at all. punchlines're predictable, character design's not so original, development's not so imaginative. i strongly disagree to place this one as a gold standard.
