Figuratively of course, not a manga where a god hates the main character.

I'm looking for a manga where the main character encounters misfortune after misfortune. As if god just doesn't like them that much at all and decides that nothing good will happen to them.

It can be any scenario/genre, slice of life, action, fantasy, etc

Some good examples are:

These two are slice of life-ish and involve hazing
vitamin
LIFE

These two are more action oriented and the main characters have lots of misfortune early in the manga/their life and throughout it.
Basara brother/villagers die in the beginning
claymore parents presumably killed by yoma, friends die, former #1 who saved her is killed by pricilla.

I'm NOT looking for tragedy/misfortune in romance, like a character getting dumped or being all forlorn in love etc. I'm looking for stuff like characters related to the main character dying, the character himself/herself being harassed, etc.

Trigun or Berserk might be what you're looking for. Berserk is perhaps a more literal interpretation of your request, though....

And I have to say, if you're talking about Basara, the initial slaughter is just the beginning of her troubles.

Bokurano is suppose to be really depressing, though I haven't read it yet. And instead of 1 main character, I believe there's 15.
Despite that, I really think it's up your ally (even they reviews say it shows life in a very bleak manner)
