I, like many of you, get off on reading really depressing manga titles. Perhaps it's related to the childhood traumas we faced in our personal history, or perhaps we're just broken tools... whatever the reason. By "sad" I don't mean grueling tentacle rape like Taimanin Akagi. I mean emotionally troubling or heart-breaking series that bring tears to your eyes, or at the very least makes you think twice before ejaculating on the pages.
In any case, I would like to hear some of your personal experience with sad hentai manga please. Or... if writing's not your thing, then just suggest a title to me. It doesn't have to be in English.
Perhaps I should have just titled this thread "rape manga". 😐
To give an example, "Ane Inu"... The older sister was just trying to cheer her brother up and raise his self-esteem by pretending ot be a "dog". But of course, the stupid idiot has to bring it up to his friends, who all want a taste and they end up breaking the poor girl mentally. And even by the end, that little shit never grows enough balls to save his sister from a sad life of sucking ungrateful cocks. I seriously lost my erection by the end of that story.
Quickly, I'm running out of things to fap to.

Wednesday After School come to mind when I saw the title of this thread. It's so heartbreaking...but somehow erotic o_o
In the Nurse's room by Kisaragi Gunma is the same too...
All of the titles from Yakiyama Line that I've read are quite heartbreaking as well...
I have a few in my "archive"...but I do try to avoid them if I can.

Overflow- One of the greater hentais out there. The portrayal of rape and abuse was so realistic it hurt just reading it. There were times when I just wanted to stop reading it but never did, that's just how good it was. Still kinda sad to read though.

i hate those kind of hentai... after i read one i'm depressed for a week...

in the first chapter the hero find the girl he like getting fucked by two guy (not rape) but it's the style of the author to make shitty story with awesome arts so...
there are other but i don't remember the name... i read too much hentai to be able to remember the name of those i hated...
evergreen might be like that but the story is awesome and you will find yourself reading for the story and not for the sex scene...

I find I do that with most Studio Kimigabuchi doujins. Sure, the art's pretty hot, and the sex scenes can get pretty kinky... but I read it because it's actually really funny and depressing all at the same time. Great storytellers.

This is actually a genre of eroge, sort of. It's called utsuge. I haven't actually played any, but a recent one I know of is Dote Up a Cat.
And if you choose "hentai" and "tragedy" in the genre search, you get these two djs:

Who are the target audience?
If you think "Sadists of course!", then you've only got to the tip of the iceberg.
Yes, sadists - if you enjoy "reading" about the main character's relationship going down the toilet in the most heartbreaking way...and actually fap to it.
Then there's the masochists.
I think it's fair to say that whenever we read a story, we tend to put ourselves in the main character's shoes (at least I do). In this way, masochists go through what the main character's going through, feeling just about every pain he's going through and in addition to that, get their satisfaction.
Going deeper, I realized just how sick the genre is...
The target audience are people who don't empathize with the main character, and instead empathize/put themselves in the shoes the the rapist(s). Poeple who get off on fantasizing that their sexual abilities or the size of their wang could break someone else's partner and turn them into mindless cum-dumps.
So in conclusion, I've decided...that this genre is targeted at

...or at least people who enjoy good art, because if read in raw (for those who don't read Japanese) or textless, it's probably like every other hentai xD
