I'm looking for mangas about romance between a male teacher and a female student.
It would be perfect if the teacher were the protagonist.

Have you already tried searching for manga tagged as "Student-Teacher Relationship"? You should be able to find plenty of series with male teachers and female students there.

One story that I've really enjoyed is Ichigo no Gakkou by SATOU Nanki/ KIZUKI Akira. As it is narrated from the teacher's perspective, it has a more realistic look on these kinds of romantic relationships. I particularly liked its reflective nature.

Oresama Teacher -- It hasn't got much romance, but there are hints and the protagonist will probably end up with her teacher.

I rooted for Urumi/Onizuka in GTO but it remained one-sided 🙁
