Since there doesn't seem to be a thread for this...
Or has my searching failed me again?

Who are your favorite actors/actresses?
What movies do you especially like their performances in?
What types of roles do you most enjoy?

Some of mine would be: (will be adding more)

Helena Bonham Carter- She does crazy roles, and I like it.
Jim Carrey- Funny and crazy...
Robert De Niro- "tuna casserole!!!"
Brad Pitt- XD. Perfection...
Bruce Willis- Especially in The Whole Nine Yards. (and so many more)
Matthew Perry- makes me laugh, also in that movie.
Johnny Depp- I've liked him in too many films~
Mel Gibson- So many good films...
Adam Sandler- Just so funny...
Drew Barrymore.
Zooey Deschanel- well... She's so cute>.<
Rachel McAdams.
Edward Norton.
Audrey Tautou.
Thierry Lhermitte- Was hot back in the 70s, and still hot for me even now. "3

I guess you could say I like disturbed characters. 🙄
And also comedic. Dramatic is also very good, but I see it so often...

I've never been that big on actors/actress'.

I agree that Jim Carrey is funny to watch. I think the first film I saw him in was Ace Venturer Pet Detective.

Whenever someone asks me if I like X actor, I usually reply "who?". Then they have to start listing films until I understand who they're talking about.

Like the guy from The Mummy and George of the Jungle.

<3!!! She is a fave of mine as well.

I really liked Christian Bale before the whole Batman fame. He was great in The Machinist and American Psycho.

Edward Norton - Fight Club and American History X

Paul Rudd - He is just too cute and funny. I like him in most of his roles.

Audrey Tautou - so adorable. I love Amelie.

I don't really know what kind of characters I like though...lol. I think it has more to do with the content of the film. I prefer to watch action and comedy films. And I love foreign films.

Al Pacino, Denzel Washington, Keanu Reeves, Vin Diesel, ... No female ones come to mind though. Guess they aren't as memorable. 😮

Actors:
Edward Norton: American History X
Russel Crowe: Gladiator, American Gangster, The Insider
Liam Neeson: Star Wars Episode I, Taken, Batman Begins
Matt Damon: The Bourne trilogy, Ocean's 11-13, Good Will Hunting
Brad Pitt: Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Ocean's 11-13, Snatch, Seven
Ton Hanks: Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, The Green Mile --> probably the movies more than the actor himself
Morgan Freeman: all his stuff in general, can't think of any sucky performances for him...
High Laurie: House (TV) --> only seasons 1-3, since imho seasons 4 and 5 are inferior in quality

Actresses:
Glenn Close, Rose Byrne: Damages (TV)

Weird that only two women come to mind based solely on acting ability. Other actresses that come to mind generally have a primary hotness factor involved when considering them...

I guess it's the same for me...I can't really say if some actress is good at acting when I'm primarily assessing her physical attributes 😔
