So I guess im suposed to introduce myself here so anyway I'm 18 female and have lived in the same town in california my whole life. I used to read comic's when I was little and when I got older a friend showed me an edition of shonen jump and I read some of it and liked it. So later when I went to I barns and noble I found there manga section and spent the rest of the day reading random series but didn't buy any because I was broke at the time 😀 . my favorite kind of manga to read would be any kind of romance no matter the genre. Besides that i can't think of anything else to tell you. 😀

i know this will be annoying for most of you but can someone explain to me how to use this site. I know i should be more specific or something but i like reading manga and a friend told me this was a good place to find new titles so i signed up but i had to call and ask him how to even do this much (making this question i mean); however, im clueless on how to navigate through this site and how to use it. also sorry if this seems pointless or stupid to anyone.

oh ya, to save you time i know how to see "new" and "all post"

first, i think this should be moved to user announcements since you are kind of introducing yourself while asking for help
this should help. im not a mod or anything so im not the right person to ask.

First off, Welcome...everyone's a noob at some point.

Tips on how to use the site:

-Use the "Search Forums" button you see above to find any topics you might wanna talk about so as to avoid making repeat threads

-The List function is very useful in keeping track of manga you're reading, you wanna read or finished reading. You can see other people's lists as well in their profile if they made them public.

-On the User CP you can block out certain genres from the releases page if you don't wanna see stuff such as hentai, yaoi, yuri, etc.

-In addition to blocking out certain genres you can also search for manga with certain genres you want using the Genre Search function.

That about covers the more improtant features of the site, the rest is upto you to explore; though as robbit said, the FAQs is a good place to start. Oh and you should check out the Rules if you plan on participating in the forums.

yeah, you should explore your user CP, I found it pretty useful to use the release filtering, I use it to highlight the genres that I want or don't want. But be careful not to mark too many of the genres, because it would end up being too confusing to look at, trust me I've made that mistake before... 😀

But then again I check releases here daily( some days, hourly) so I don't know if it'll be as useful for you...
