When I started reading manga, I usually went for the longer ones, so I've read a few.
My longest would be :
Hana Yori Dango - 36 or 37 Volumes

Others[ longer than 10 volumes or so ] :
Fushigi Yuugi
Ayashi no Ceres
Tokyo Crazy Paradise
Beauty Pop
Hot Blooded Woman
Fruits Basket
Good Morning Call

and there are more...

I think Inuyasha, even though it took me about a year to read that last chapter...

All the series I consider "long" (i.e., Naruto, Bleach, One Piece) are still ongoing, doesn't look like they'll be ending any time soon either...<_<

Others would be Hana Yori Dango and Shin Angyo Onshi.

Longest I've completed is Hana Yori Dango but there are several that I'm actively reading that are or look like they might end up longer than that.

Alot, but, generally...the longest and time consuming I would lean towards Fushigi Ugi.

The series I've ever bought are Hana Kimi and Fushigi Yuugi and my long incomplete series is Angel Sanctuary (I bought when it first came in the US and just never finished buying it).

Ranma1/2
Hana Kimi
Fruits Basket
Inuyasha (Does skipping to the end count? *Smiles*)

But the 1st three, I completely finished it.

Well, what do you consider long?

100+ chapters? 20+ volumes?

Are there any boundaries?

I mean, could you consider Black Cat a long series? That was 20 Volumes.

I haven't really completed many long series. Most of the long series I'm reading aren't complete (obvious which ones they are). I wouldn't really want to start a monster of a series anyway. I'm already trying with OP. It's going to take me forever to catch up laugh

If I remember correctly : Kobo-chan - 60 volumes (not including the sequel, which is still ongoing).

wow this is very interesting to know
haha "nuff said" whats that supposed to mean?
kobo-chan- wow thats alot too read for slice of life

but the sad thing is ive read loaaaaaadddds of manga
both bought and online
but ive never completed any long series
i think the longest manga ive ever completed was death note
but thats because i like to keep up with the ongoing & popular titles rather than has beens

i mean i do start reading manga that are old, but like i like to explore so much manga that i dont really have a chance to keep up with any series
i also usually only like to read very very long manga, but i either never finish them or i keep up with them but they never finish
like shamo, gantz, bleach, hunter x hunter, homunculus ...
