Sort of random...but are there any manga out there with Star Wars-esque themes? You know, like "Luke I am your father" moments? Where there is a conflict between father and son/daughter and good/evil?
There doesn't have to be aliens or space ships or anything...

Series that I've read that come to mind are Ao no Exorcist and Code Geass (LOVE!). Fullmetal Alchemist sorta was, but then it wasn't...

I guess another theme could be the whole master/pupil relationship, even over generations ("You have much to learn, my young padawan" haha). Naruto is the perfect example of that.
Also...07 Ghost, D.Gray-man (sorta),

I've been watching a lot of Star Wars lately and I'm trying to isolate why I like the movies so much...its not the space/aliens aspect, its more the archetypes (and I love the light saber fights haha)...

So yeah, any thoughts?

You might check out the comic (not manga) Invincible. I don't generally like comics but it entertained me for a while. I don't want to spoil too much but lets just say that a little ways into the story there is this HUGE twist involving the father that might lead to what you're looking for.

It may not seem similar to Star Wars... and probably isn't... but when I read your topic I thought of 20th Century Boys and Monster by Urasawa Naoki. There's almost nothing supernatural there, not to mention sci-fi, but the good/evil conflict reminds me of Star Wars, a bit.
