I'm looking for a SHOUJO/ROMANCE manga where both male and female leads are smart and focus on there studies....

They are both talented and aims to be always the number 1...

I don't mind what makes them fall in love with each other... as long as it's not fast...
rather a slow pace attraction to each other...

Ashita no Ousama

It's from 1996 so the art is a bit outdated but the story is pretty much what you are looking for. However, they don't want to be the best in studying (although they attend the same university so you could count it as school romance) but pursue their dreams of becoming the best screenwriter and actor.
