If your a fan of the artist, or the author (if they're two or more different people), you can add them to the wishlist, so when a scanlation appears (old or new) they will instantly know about it.

Ooh, this is genius! eek I usually pick up new series by whether or not I like the mangaka's style, so I think this would be a really great idea eyes Oh, and I have so many favorite mangaka, it's becoming hard to keep track of them ^_^;;

I was just about to suggest this! Glad I searched the forums first

You could add it to the "My Lists" area, and add a "add to favorite mangaka list" button to all the mangaka pages

Seriously, this is the second time that i've wanted to suggest something only to find out that i'm a step behind...

Oh well =)

Guess I can still support it!! xD

I think it should be added, would be nice to see what your favorite Mangaka is up to.

Totally in support of this! Since I am all about making lists I have to have separate desktop lists reminding me of all the mangakas I love to watch.
And since I am obsessed with lists I would also love to have a favorites list (to keep up with all the people who also love the series), not interested list (so I don't keep scanning through a genre and constantly looking up ones I already decided I didn't want to read). But, that is just me and I know these things take a lot of work to set in motion but it would be really wonderful!

For now, you could simply add all mangaka's works ( from the author's page )to your wish list. This way, you won't miss any release.

This works fine for me, I don't think I need the 'fav mangaka' feature.

Doesn't work for new series not currently listed or made yet.

A title that doesn't have it's page in MU's database, listed on the releases page? That's a rare sight.
A chance, that it's a work of your fav mangaka...oh, well. The chance is rather small.

It's a great idea.
Would be so good to have something like this.

I want this feature because it makes things much easier. Sometimes when I like a mangaka's work I want to look for another series by that mangaka. When a mangaka has a new series it would be easier to keep track of a mangaka's work.

The only inconvenience I can see is when the author has 40+ series...but oh well, it wouldn't be something urgent, if we're talking about an author with 50+ series, you're bound to remember his name bigrazz ...or atleast one title of his works. And from there you have the mangaka's page biggrin
And if he/she has fewer works, adding them all to the wishlist wouldn't be too hard smile

i think this is a great idea, and i wanted to suggest it as well.
a mangaka list would be more convenient in finding manga you want to read.
