Yeah, got agree with lambchopsil. It's a LOT to expect pictures of mangaka in their profiles. Isn't Manga Updates only about 2 years old? It's pretty decent for the age it's at, and something tells me that looking for photos of mangaka is going to be like looking for needles in a haystack (unless a person is looking from Japan...but even then, maybe the outlook isn't so good).
Unless same eager fans decide to look for photos or at least used the "illustrated" portrait the mangaka uses in their author's notes for their manga volumes, there's a good chance there won't be a photo for each mangaka anytime soon.

Minoru Furuya, number 1 mangaka. Makoto Isshiki, number 1 underrated mangaka Yellow Tanabe, best omake's ever, and Kekkaishi is pretty damn good too Eiichiro Oda, One Piece. Hideo Yamamoto, Homunculus and Koroshiya, the guy is mad.
Well, what i meant at the end of my last post with its hard to find info on the enlish web is the same thing takiko was saying.I have already tried finding certain mangaka on the web and was really surprised to find almost nothing in english or german. For example the wikipedia page for Nihei has 3 sentences, the german wikipedia 9. Goole gives you wikipedia first and after that mostly ads from bookstores. And Nihei is pretty succesfull.

Yeah, you might want to refine that list there are 2 ODA Eiichiro, and 2 FUJISAWA Tohru. It may also be a good idea to put it in alphabetical order (SURNAME First) after splitting into voting numbers. Also maybe hyperlink to the authors page in the database.
edit: that may be a lot of trouble.
