.... because they KNOW they are good. Not like Inuyasha where it's just all talk and he fails about 99.9% of the time. Good example would be Toua in One Outs, he talks big because he's never lost before.

I know there is an "Arrogant Male Leads" category, but I don't think I found anything good. Please post recommendations.

Kuroshitsuji

Death Note

The Legend of Sun Knight / The Legend of Sun Knight (Novel)

Yu-Gi-Oh - Dark Yugi, very much. If you've seen the anime but haven't read the manga, I must say that the manga is very different at first. The "Duel Monsters" plot only starts at volume 7.

Prince of Tennis

Olimpos

Durarara!! (Novel) - Izaya.

The World God Only Knows

Noblesse - not the rude type of arrogant, but rather the superior type of arrogant.

"immobilizes enemy I did not give you permission to move. chokes him Nor did I give you permission to breathe."

Onani Master Kurosawa

Personant

Akagi, if I remember right.

Baccano! (Novel) - a lot of the characters, though it's a passive sort of arrogance.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama!

Kokou no Hito

Second these. I disagree with Kaichou wa maid-sama, though. Usui doesn't seem all that inclined to show off how great he is, and if acts arrogant, it's more of a joke than anything. I don't think he actually is arrogant, if you get what I mean.

@Blique If we're talking Yugioh then you should totally try Yugioh season 0. If you're used to the regular English Yugioh then it might be a bit weird for you but i think it's way better than the Yugioh that's solely based on the card game. And the dark Yugi in season 0 is like 10x more sadistic than the regular one, so much so that Season 0 was not aired on English television lol.

Code Geass. Don't know about any of the manga, but the anime definitely.

Although he does have a bit of a crazy breakdown somewhere around about 3/4 through the last season when everything starts going a bit wrong for him. Given that he was so arrogant and awesome before, it's actually really heartbreaking to see him lose it.
