Firstly, I apologise to the person a few polls back who asked if guys read shoujo, I got the idea mostly from from that topic to do an overall question (So it wasn't total copying! lol). Still, I've seen a few polls that ask if guys read shoujo or if girl read shounen. So I thought I'd make an overall one that asks both, I'm curious to know what people read.

Anyway, what do you go for normally?

Same, I think I've read at least one series from all 4 of the major genres. I tend towards the seinin/shonen since I'm a guy but I read shojo pretty often.

i read everything regardless of it's genre.

I read all genres. If u stick to just one ur missing out on what the other genres provide.

I read mostly Shoujo/ Josei and Seinen but if something looks interesting I'll read it.

I read whatever I can get my hands on, borrowing form other people that is. So I don't spend a lot of money or use up a lot of bandwidth. I think the thing I like most about manga is the variety that you can get.

However, when it comes to something I choose for myself, I think it's leaning towards shounen/seinen. And I'm a girl... Well it sounds a bit weird(to me at least). I think it comes to my preference in art style.

I've read almost everything except shounen-ai, yaoi and josei

you should have worded you poll more like this:

guy - read shoujo/josei
guy - don't read shoujo/josei
girl - read shounen/seinen
girl - don't read shounen/seinen

and i usually tend to avoid putting a whatever, all or i don''t care option on a poll since i know most people are going to vote for it...
GIVE THEM NO OPTION ON CHOOSING THE MIDDLE/NEUTRAL STANCE!!! 🤣

When i voted (last option BTW) it took me to the release page... wonder if that happened to anyone else?

that always happens, whenever i vote it votes and takes me to the same page as the next tab in Mozilla...i just tend to ignore it and just click the back to last page button

i m a girl i recently started reading shoujo, smut and josei because i could not find anything to read. it's nice but i like seinen better, they are more original and mature then the shoujo/ also i feel that shoujo is more limited to romance and\or comedy and shounen has much more other geners that go with it.
i can't understant guys that read shoujo but it dosent mean i wont accept them.

I prefer to read shoujo manga and watch shounen anime.
I can't bear shoujo anime -- too corny.

I don't have much hope for manga that spans more than 10 volumes...

Everything and anything, although I'm leaning more onto shoujo side 😀

I read anything good. The usual endless fighting and poor plot progression of Shounen series can get boring after a while, which is when I would ask for my dose of good Shoujo like Skip beat and Gauken Alice. Of course, I stay far away from any filithy Shoujo with the generic stupid girl falls in love with bishounen plotline.
