Yes, we have a topic stating all the BAD cliches, but what about the ones ya like? I personally LOVE the handsome bishies with gloomy, manipulative personalities who are total perverts.
And the hot springs episodes are always intresting ^_^

I love when the couple gets married in the end.....I'm always in the mood of a happy ending. I also like when the the couple falls in love after the boy saves the girl when she falls down. It's kinda cute (for me).

I like it when the guy says something romantic/cute/whatever and then blushes or gets embarrassed over it... and the girl notices and reacts. It's so cute~
And I second the marriage thing; that's always a lovely ending.

Yeah, I'm kinda fond of the 'bad start'. Perverts....well....no, it's not a favorite. I would say they're annoying, except......Shirogami Ryuji is one. From Tokyo Crazy Paradise. And he's a fave. Eeehh....I also like stuff like they actually knew each other when they were little, or similar. And the girl doesn't usually know about it. I like those. And I like the girl masquerading as a guy....lots. I think this may be partly Georgette Heyer's fault.

Yeah, I also like the gender-benders, both girl-as-guy and guy-as-girl.

Feeding medicine mouth-to-mouth...that's extremely stupid, but also sooo funny ( but, seriously, don't try that on an unconscious person. at best he/she will have some choking problems, at worst - you kill him/her )
And indirect kisses! People blush like hell when they notice them

My favorite shoujo/romance cliche would definitely have to be the love triangle (or even a square in some cases). Love triangles always makes the story juicier and opens up the plot for a plethora of possibilities. However, that's only if it's executed properly. It's not so much about how often it's used, but more about how well it's used.
Examples: Pathetic love triangle - Happy Hustle High; Good love triangle - Skip Beat! or Nana

I like the girl-as-guy ones better, for the most part, although W-Juliet is among my favorites. Tofu-Queen, I bow in awe at your lists. May mine be as long someday...Do you like Robin McKinley? My mum introduced me to Heyer. And Robin, actually. And Lois McMaster Bujold....*jerks back to topic under discussion*
Love triangles.....I mostly don't like them. I mean, if the other people involved end up happy, then I'm happy. But....Take Akira in Tokyo Crazy Paradise. Is he happy? Resigned, yeah, but happy? Not really. And he's really very sympathetic, so that leaves me a bit unhappy. I prefer things like what happened with Asago.
Pansy....umm....Skip Beat is a love triangle? Please, no. And I'm only on chapter 74, so don't answer that. *denies*
Colds are a useful cliche. Like in Koukou Debut and BODY.
Edit: Is Skip Beat a good triangle because ya bloody well want him left sobbing in the cold?

I've been seeing this very often and I think it's hilarious...... nosebleeds. Like the guy a girl likes walks by and she gets a massive nosebleed and completely makes an idiot of herself.
