I don't know if I'm allowed to post this, but if I am, great! If mangaupdates is not going to be allowed to have group listings here a simple fix:
For Chrome:
Quote from Zuan
For Chrome:
- Download Tampermonkey extension.
- Download https://github.com/loadletter/mangaupdates-urlfix
- Goto Chromes extensions page, enable the "Allow access to file URLs" checkbox at the Tampermonkey item. After this create a file with the file ending ".tamper.js" and drag-and-drop it to Chrome. (Taken from Tampermonkey website)
- Enable.
OR
- Download https://github.com/loadletter/mangaupdates-urlfix
- Open settings (Crtl-H) and go to extensions.
- Drag and drop mangaupdates_group.user.js on to it and install.
For FireFox:

For Firefox you need to download the GreasMonkey Extension first.
Then Click on this Mangaupdates-url fix.
Then hit install, There problem solved.
For Opera:

For Opera, just drop it in the UserJS folder with a ".user.js" extension.
To find your UserJS folder: Right click on a page → Edit Site Preferences... → Scripting tab.
If you have the ways to fix it on other browsers, please post your fix. I'll update this post as we go as long as this thread is allowed.
-All thanks goes to a random Anon for making the script.

That's missing about 600 group URLs.
In addition, it does nothing to solve the problem. What about new groups?

Updated script. Renamed all links without sites to "No Site".

You can add them, or post URLs here, so others add them.

I know there are some missing groups and links that don't work but for a script that solved a huge problem in such a short time that's something.
As for the new groups it's either add it manually or having someone updates the script.
Unless browser ricing becomes violation to the DMCA.
BTW I'm not the one who made the script, some kind anon did.

I think the best solution would be creating a scanlation group search engine.
Search engines are not responsible for illegal content they index.
Groups could submit URLs to it. In addition, a crawler could index individual release pages.

I'm not as tech savy as you guys but what about a simple alphabetical list of current groups and their URLs posted somewhere that we could download?

I have never edited scripts in my life, nor do I know how. It took me all of 5 minutes to set this up.

Returning to missing urls.

I just checked missing numbers from first 100 pages (from 1 to 100), and only find either non existed (on MU) pages, or groups without sites. You sure those groups from this ~600 list have sites? And maybe you provide links on MU to this ~600 groups pages, if you already know where they are?

EDIT: Disregard. I just don't have the time.

I made a simple estimation, based on the number of scanlators per page (except the last page) * total number of pages - 1 + number of scanlators on the last page.
That being said, if you quickly scan that script, you'll notice several entries have placholder links.
Somebody could setup a quick l ...

What I did, which is a lot easier, is I went through all of the groups that scan the mangas that I read, search for them on google (ex: "[type in the name of the group here] scans") and 95% of the time you should find their website. Just save it to your favorites in a folder titled manga scans or something, and then off you go to it whenever you see a release on this site.
I guess if you read every manga on this website then it would be much easier the other way...
Thank you.
I'd been adding the sites to my bookmarks, but it's slow and tedious.
Lose - Opposite of win, to misplace something/someone. e.g. To lose your way, to lose a fight.
Loose - Opposite of tight. e.g. To have a loose screw, to loosen a jar lid.
^ Not just scanlators, but also company documents are getting it wrong now!

For FF users that don't mind using Batoto's database and don't want to Google the group names:
http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/batoto-groups/
You add Batoto Groups to the search engines in your browser, you activate it (or use a separate addon, e.g. Selected Search, to choose from many searches at once), right-click your mouse and click [Search Batoto Groups for "<group's-name>"]
It might create an additional step, but at least you don't have to type the names in and there are moderators to verify the entries (including the links).
You can PM me if you need a temporary (freelance) cleaner/redrawer for some project. Especially if it's something with nice art.
Being the lazy person that I am, I'm not likely to accept anything long-term though.
