I'm looking for hentai with interesting or meaningful themes or any hentai which pushes the envelope in terms of storytelling, plot, etc. All guro aside, that is... any recommendations to make? Anything is fine by me as long as it doesn't involve really disgusting stuff like scat, pissing, etc. Shotacon or lolicon, incest, necrophilia, torture and bloodplay is all right with me, though.

I know of Overflow and Hallow Hallow.

Does anyone have anything to suggest?

Hmmm... thanks for the suggestion! One qn: is there anything that sets it apart from other Hentai? Like anything creative? I'm not looking for the norm: typical hentai about nothing but screwing doesn't interest me.

I have read Take On Me and I can say it was definitely interesting. It struck me as pretty original. I want to say its not about just sex, but I cant be too positive having read it a number of months ago. But it has great artwork and definitely left a good impression. It was definitely well above average as far as a hentai manga goes.

I would recommend it.

Scarlet Desire - No sex until the middle and than again at the end. And I always have to warn people that the mangaka always makes his male leads as obnoxious as possible and also that it ends kind of abruptly.

Triangle - W/o all the sex scenes it would actually hold up as a decent drama piece

My Sister - Funny and DISTANCE is one of those rare hentai mangaka that like to add a little depth to characters as opposed to the usual shallow sex-maniacs. The end kinda makes me angry but I guess I'll let it slide and rec it.

Palladium Garden - Everything seems kinda rushed but what can you do it is hentai after all.

Hana Fuda - Kinda weird but it's pretty decent.

Well, a lot of people may disagree with me where I would normally be in concert with them but I like Silky Whip by Oh Great. Yes, he sucks at long serializations but in short bursts he's actually quite good at storytelling, if on the perverse side.

RE-Take is also probably the best Evangleion doujin ever. Its got five or six parts. It might actually be better than the original. As far as endings go anyway. Would also work without all the porn bits.

Sarcasm just doesn't work over the internet.

I completely forgot about RE-Take. I wouldn't even consider it an H-doujin if it wasn't for all the fanservice and like 2 or 3 long sex scenes. I'll give that a second, and I don't even like doujins.

Perhaps you can try mangas written by Takenoko Seijin? It usually has some emotional content afaik

other than those already mentioned i can only think of slut girl (and slut girl alpha)...actually the only H-manga i've liked
