Maybe I'm still confused about the definition of OEL. I'm still getting into the genre. I did a quick Google search and still am no clearer. Would manga-inspired comics from other countries (not just English-speaking) and translated into English still be considered OEL? What about the kind that Yaoi Press produce, some of which are produced in other European countries, translated into English, and then published in English? Would manga-inspired comics from other countries (not just English-speaking) and then scanlated into English still be considered OEL?

Maybe just changing the FAQ would be easier? To something like: "series influenced by manga but published in English or in a Western language and translated for an English-speaking audience?"

Sorry if I'm not being clear, or making this more complicated than necessary. I guess I'll just label Yaoi Press's OEL for now.

We're considering OEL to be originally written in English, hence Original English Language
