Hello~

I really love well drawn yaoi with good plot (doesn't everyone?)

I find drawings my Minami Haruka very pretty but there is usually too little to no plot line 😛

My faourite mangaka are:
Kaori Yuki, although she doesn't do yaoi, most of her work has an underlining theme of shonen ai, the plot are usually my style and the art is beautiful.

Itsuki Kaname, My absolute FAVOUITE MANGAKA, her art is absolutely STUNNING!! Also the plot is generally very amaxing XD

I hope there is some more good manga similar to something like what I've given (Hopefully?)

I'm really enjoying Kyoushi mo Iroiro Aruwakede at the moment. I like the artwork a lot, and I actually like the story a lot in this series as well, though I'm not sure I'd call it a 'plot' so much as just a story. DP is currently still working on the last few chapters, though.

As for plot, I like Hyper Love Power, but it's not finished either.

If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

Something that is a bit smutty with gorgeous artwork?

Then you should try Yamane Ayano. G-g-g-g-g-g-gorgeous artwork with good storylines. 🙂

There's also Kawai Touko. Her art is pretty good, and her mangas are just the best things out there.

At the top of my head I can think only of...
-YAMAGISHI Hokuto she has done two of the best works I've seen Wild Fangs and Wild Rose, I' sure you would like if you are into fantasy and such.
-Wild Rock is pretty good as well and has great artwork but most of the mangaka's series are on hiatus.
-I Want to Be Naughty! I liked the artwork here and all the sequels are great as well not sure if you're looking for that kind of art though.
-NANGOKU Banana her art is absolutely gorgeous.
-ODAGIRI Hotaru I also like her art it's very sharp, if you've read Only the Ring Finger Knows: The Ring Finger Falls Silent .you might like her other artwork.

That's all I can think of at the moment, I'll probably edit this later on if I find others to include.

Kisaragi Hirotaka is my favorite. His drawings are very pretty and detailed. Unfortunately he doesn't have a lot of works. I personally don't find Minami Haruka's and most of Yamane Ayano's works that attractive, in terms of drawing styles and plots. Fukai Youki has good story plots. But her drawings are probably not that pretty to you. Still worth a try though.

I do like some of Miyamoto Kano's manga. The others I am not that into can be a bit dull. But if you like Itsuki Kaname, you will probably like them too.

I second Yamane Ayano, NANGOKU Banana and Kisaragi Hirotaka especially has beautifull art.

Not yaoi, but here are some very good shounen-ai mangaka:
yumeka sumomo (sahara mizu) has such soft and beautifull art, and those romantic/dramatic plots are just the best...
Wild adapter has very good art, and such a great and unique story.
OKI Mamiya has beautifull art, and just amazing plots.

Vassalord great art, good story. Hot vamps>.<

Yaoi:

Inariya Fusanosuke is amazing. Has great works like maiden rose <3 and zion no koeda
TAKANAGA Hinako great art, and good comedies like the tyrant who fall in love
Sakura gari good, expressive art, with good dramatic story.
I want to become your bird has really good art, and great story.
NAONO Bohra with most of her works.
OUGI Yuzuha has nice art. But some might not like it.
SAKURA Sakuya very good art. But weaker plotlines.
Hand Which good art, and very sweet/romantic stories.

Oh, and if you're into DJ, you can try naked ape. I've read only their non-BL works like dolls and swtich which are great. And I've heard good reviews on their djs.

fgurguih A it seems like every possible artist is up there already, one mangaka i'm a huge fan of is KYUUGOU, she has gorgeous art and her mangas have great storylines though the plots aren't those convulated types. Not that much smutt for all i can remember but you should take a look~

Technically, Furuya Usamaru doesn't really count as a BL mangaka but Litchi Hikari Club by him kinda counts as a BL which is kinda decadent and gorgeous. 😛 Same for Innocents Shounen Juujigun (I think the more explicit parts come later though for now, there are some very very overt BL overtones in it.)

Not really BL but it depicts a male in a very very erotic manner. Towards the Darkness
