It is a sad day as the group Tenshi-Tachi shuts down. Based on their site, they are not able to continue scanlating manga due to "real life issues". Furthermore, there is a plea for other groups to continue their projects.
We wish you well, Tenshi-Tachi.

Thanks go to Sin on our IRC channel for the new poll idea. We had a similar poll on the forum somewhere...but now it's time for us to see what the masses say!
Previous poll:
Question: Did you give/receive manga during this Christmas season?
Yes - votes: 1087 (28.3%)
No - votes: 2748 (71.7%)
There were 3835 total votes.
The poll ended: January 1st 2008
I was expecting "No" to win, but I can't believe over 1000 people either gave/received manga over Christmas! We sure are getting to the community~
From all of the staff at MangaUpdates, we want to wish you a happy new year!
Anonymous writes: *In possibly the quickest conceived and executed merger of all time, we’re excited to announce that Binktopia and MangaShare will be joining forces to provide you with weekly manga scanlations. The new group’s name will remain Binktopia, and all new releases will continue to be done from MangaShare.com
Naruto, Bleach, D.Gray-man, and One Piece will continue to be released on MangaShare, but with Binktopia’s lineup, we’ll see several other series (in no particular order) like Psyren, Fairy Tail, Eyeshield 21, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Gantz, Claymore, Berserk and Gintama.
This deal made a lot of sense for both parties, so it happened.

As Christmas is over (mostly...), let's change the poll again! Simple enough question about your manga experience during Christmas.
As for the previous poll:
Question: ...?
Lust - votes: 5004 (36.2%)
Gluttony - votes: 607 (4.4%)
Envy - votes: 1478 (10.7%)
Sloth - votes: 1440 (10.4%)
Greed - votes: 1542 (11.2%)
Wrath - votes: 1461 (10.6%)
Pride - votes: 2295 (16.6%)
There were 13827 total votes.
The poll ended: December 26th 2007
So Lust won! I guess that explains all the hentai, yuri, yaoi, etc...And for all those who didn't know, the choices are related to the seven deadly sins (and the Homunculus in Full Metal Alchemist)
