This week's poll about the animals you hate was suggested by VawX. Non-exhaustive list, but it should cover the most common ones.

I didn't even think about copyright censoring...
This week's poll was suggested by Nekomikoto, and it deals with how to translate censored curses or expletives. It's interesting to think about, even though I don't think it comes up that often.

If you're working more than 80 hours a week, I'm sorry for you.
We are aware that most of the site is not functioning and are working to resolve it. Unfortunately, I cannot give an estimate on when it will be fixed.
Edit: Issue has been resolved. We're still trying to analyze why it broke though.
Our user yaoihentai suggested a poll similar to last week's, but now dealing with how many hours per week that you work. In case you didn't know, 40 hours is a special choice because it's a standard work week for many people in the USA.

People suggested that I separate the people who don't work into separate categories based on why they don't work, which I incorporated for this week's poll
Greetings!
In celebration of our 15th anniversary, we’re going to give away 100 $10 gift certificates to Right Stuf International. To participate, you must have been a member on this site for at least 30 days as of noon today (EST), and you must make a post on this news thread between now and 12pm (EST) noon on July 27th. Additional posts do not increase your odds of winning. If your post is deleted due to breaking the rules, then your entry is not valid. I'm interested to see what kinds of crazy topics people come up with to talk about. I will conduct a drawing using a random number generator sometime after, and post the winners' account names. No purchase necessary. This is NOT an advertising campaign. We ask that if possible, you keep this in-house. It’s for previously registered members only.
If I’ve made a grievous legal mistake in the wording or operation of this drawing, please let me know as soon as possible so I can correct it. As a disclaimer, nothing in this post can be construed as a contract between myself, Lamb, or the MU site with any participants or winners, and we retain the right to alter the scope, rules, etc, at any time.
Thank you!
Manick, Lamb, & the rest of the MU staff
I came up with the poll for this week. I'm actually surprised that we've never asked this kind of question before.

The top choice won by 3 votes. I don't want to check through 11 years of weekly polls, but I'm pretty sure that's the closest race it's ever been.
This week's fun poll was suggested by VawX. You leave your house for something (school, supermarket, hang out with friends, etc), so what are you most likely to forget to bring?

It's actually a pretty even split between yes/no (if there were only 2 choices instead of 4)
This week's poll was suggested by Karonhioktha. Let's say an author's debuting work wasn't that great. Would you give him another shot and read his next series?

This week's poll was suggested by Nekomikoto. It deals with scanlator woes and how to translate a character with an unknown gender. Doesn't really apply here, but when addressing a group, I always say "you guys" even if the majority is female.

Almost down the middle. And to all the complainers, I purposely didn't put a "I don't care" option
This week's poll was suggested by juliarox214. You know how some series have a oneshot at the end of the volume that are totally unrelated to the main series itself? They might have unique characters, or it's just a previously published oneshot that they're packaging in this volume. What's your feeling about those?

I just finished watching the HBO Chernobyl show. If they hadn't gotten the divers to open the sluice gates to pump out the water, that would've been crazy...
