First established in 2003 by toymaker company, Takara Tomy famous for the character goods for Galaxy Angel and etc. It was then bought over by Poplar-sha in April 2006 and became their subsidiary.

In August 2019, one part of Jive Ltd. was re-established as the new Jive Ltd. while the rest were re-established as Jive Next Ltd. In January 2020, Jive Next Ltd. was dissolved after merging with Poplar-sha.

From September 2019, Ohzora Shuppan's Next Editorial Department and Next F manga app was transferred to the new Jive Ltd. and they began publishing the shojo magazine, Next F in December 2019.
