"If you blush, you lose."
Living by this principle, the middle schooler Nishikata gets constantly made fun of by his seat neighbor Takagi-san. With his pride shattered to pieces, he vows to turn the tables and get back at her some day.
And so, he attempts to tease her day after day, only to find himself victim to Takagi-san's ridicule again sooner than later. Will he be able to make Takagi-san blush from embarrassment even once in the end?

Takagi, the Clairvoyant

I'm not sure how Takagi knows/guesses some of the things she does without having ESP/clairvoyance.

Also, Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru is vastly superior, despite sharing many of the same flaws as this series.

I find it cute and heart warming looking at those two kids. Not recommended for middle school boys though. They will be crushed and will only feel hopeless despair after reading this 😂🤣😋😛😝😜🤪

This is neither funny or heartwarming. Both MC are idiots, there's no plot (yeah yeah I know the excuse "bUt this is sLiCe Of LiFe. No. Use a better argument) just stupid teasing and repetitive and HOW the main character can fall for every prank? He's like super idiot. No sorry, I can't.

There's teasing and there is a level of annoyance.
If you love watching a helpless idiot/loser guy gets his pride crushed/played at repeatedly then this manga is good as it gets.

A Short, Sweet, Teasing Love

I personally love this manga. I find it adorable and cute and it's got this fluffy, innocent feeling to it. It focuses on the two main characters, and, while you see short appearances of other characters, the manga revolves around the two lead characters. I think what I enjoy about this manga is its simplicity. I like reading just one chapter and feeling satisfied from the short little look into these characters lives.

Reviewers are right when they say that this doesn't really have a plot. Each chapter follows the same structure: Nishikata comes up with a way to win against Takagi and she ends up turning the tables on him. I can understand how this might be boring to some people, but I find enough variation within the chapters that this isn't an issue for me. I don't expect romantic progress, so the little that does happen always surprises me and keeps me reading.

I love this manga

Dunno what's with the terrible reviews that basically goes off the reasoning's of "because there's no real plot to it and just random happenings everyday"... I mean it is SLICE OF LIFE... people should really check the genres before they read something... I thought it was absolutely adorable and a great read to pass time. The female lead is awesome, you rarely see a female lead who's more calm than the male lead in a romance, I love the change. I totally recommend this read to everyone who can enjoy a good slice of life.

Cute and funny, but don't expect more

It's a very simple and funny concept. Obviously its greatest hurdle is that it needs to always mantain the status quo. Which means that the chapters will stay episodic and unrelated, and the formula will most likely never change. The guy will keep getting successfully teased and the girl will keep hinting at her feelings, with him forgetting about it the very next chapter. It makes sense in the way that Takagi actually enjoys the situation they're in right now and doesn't want to change it. You'll have fun with this manga if you read it as a gag manga with cute hues, and nothing else.

If you are looking for a manga that depicts a tug-o-war relationship and does it marvelously, check out "Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai". This manga does have its merits, but it is repetitive in the worst way a manga can be. The girl doesn't seem to have much of an objective and the boy is way too spineless.

@::WonderWoman:: A good slice of life manga keeps things interesting by constantly putting characters in new situations and having them interact in different ways, and then drawing comedy out of it with good writing and visual art. This doesn't do that consistently enough, there are a few chapters that mix things up, but 90% of the chapters follow the EXACT same formula.

Hating the girl.

While there's no solid objective reason to, I hate her living guts. For the very first time in a long time I'm hoping the character gets dumped. I've read real scumbags but this character has ticked me so much off!
Seriously, there's teasing and there's the level of this girl. It might have been good if she suffered a defeat from time to time-a tug of war relationship, where they try to one-up each other and have fun as they lose and win, which is something that happens in real life- but as episodes go on it grows worse in my opinion.
The worst, though, it's that most likely the manga will end with either guy either not winning once or getting a very minor pyrrhic victory. it's a pity it's so predictable.
