disappointing ending but still worth

worth a read though the ending is a bit disappointing; there was great build-up and the story progression was awesome initially but the development was rushed which made the ending quite unfulfilling

THE ENDING

I am quite annoyed that she ended up with Lucien because it wasn't built up enough. I kind of expected it. But I didn't except Kuwan to be bad all along. I thought he would still be with her in the end. So now I'm annoyed and feel like I won't ever read this again because I'll want the ending to change.

Pretty good though not one of the best.

I may be rare in that I loved the ending of this and thought she chose the right man. I actually cried when she did I was so happy. The only problem was that she didn't give the other couple enough of a chance to spend time together. You understand her choice completely but that only makes you get why she chose as she did in your head and not necessarily your heart. The story itself is above average shoujo, but not the highest tier romance. I liked how she gave time and depth to secondary characters.

Disappointing

Although the storyline is nice but the romance between Shakuya and Lucien is so short and undeveloped at all. It's like as if half of the manga is focused on Shakuya's relationship with Kuwan and then she feels betrayed and decided to fall in love with Lucien instead. It's so...weird. Like how could she falls in love with Lucien all of a sudden just because of a few small matters when all the time she's all over for Kuwan. I do like Lucien and Shakuya together but I wished that the development between them is on the climax instead of the ending. Seriously, it's not really a good read after all.

Hmmm what can i say...
Well for starters it's definitely a light manga. There's action and adventure but it's not heavy or anything. I thought this manga was cute and the plot was very interesting not to mention pretty unique but it wasn't all that. The twist was good and the character development was good as well but it seemed to be lacking something. Perhaps it's because it had the potential to be more serious and not just the shoujo-light type of manga.
Overall, I did enjoy it though.

Hmm, I appear to be having bad luck lately as all the manga I pick up turn out boring.
I thought this manga sounded interesting and had potential, but after reading the first chapter, I didn't like any of the characters at all. Usually I manage to make a connection with one and decide from the beginning whom I want the main character to be with, but that didn't happen.
This being said, I managed to pick one of the two guys as my favourite, skipped to the end and she didn't choose him.
Game over.
Something about this manga had no magic for me.
I won't rate it however because I didn't think it was awful and it probably appeals to a wide audience.

Good plot but...

I liked the plot but the ending wasn't what I hoped it would be. Especially if you think that you know how it will end during 6 of 7 volumes. For me it seems as if the author simply wanted to tell the audience "haha you don't know anything!" but I don't think that this was the better suited ending. Anyway if you like the first volume I would definitely give the whole series a try wink

Well... the ending threw me off. To the point I don't remember what the previous chapters were like. It's not exactly the first time it happened, side effect when your not reading things in one go and reading a whole bunch of different mangas at the same time.

I'll say this though, the ending was a huge disappointment. Didn't really get what's going on, then boom! Last chapter. Specificately saying, the last two chapters. Before that I was still following.

Story... is probably decent? Not the best, but I don't remember it being too horrible. Can't say more, like I said, don't remember. As for art, I'd say it pretty good. Honestly, I can tell horrible from average and from absolutely amazing, but as for the rest that fall in between the middle, I dunno what else to describe them ><. So yea, not the best, not the greatest, but definitely not bad. I'll say as much as it's not my fav style though, the kind of shoujo art leaning a bit towards baby faces.

In any case, worth reading, now that it's finished. But I honestly think you won't be satisfied when you finish reading. All depends, if you think you can survive reading average or perhaps a bit above mangas, or you really don't care and wants a time spender, go ahead. I won't recommend it that much myself, leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Story is interesting

But the plot and characters are generic shoujo. The chick is so very stereotypical of shoujo, she's this dragon right? So she's strong and powerful and has special abilities, but the author conveniently tosses all that out the window whenever they want the chick to be the typical weak frail and dominated heroine. And like a typical shoujo the heroine has to have multiple emo bishies vieing for her heart, all so she can flip flop back and forth like a shallow indecisive twat.

And some aspects of the story just don't ring true. Like how she's a dragon right, and the heir to the throne, but nobody tells her what's going on, and she doesn't seem to have any authority. She gets sent to another oasis but isn't in charge? meh

Overall I've read up to ch28, and will probably continue reading more as it comes out (if I remember to bother with it), but I doubt if I'd ever care to reread it. The story has some interesting aspects, but feels a little artificial and disjointed. The characters are probably the weakest part of this, being as they are, typical shallow shoujo characters.
