From Aerandria Scans:

"There once was a girl with a splendid flower blooming upon her chest."

When Lys was born, her heart did not beat at all. To save her, her mother made a contract with a devil: Lys can borrow his heart until the day she turns sixteen, but after that, he will eat her body. Together with her companion, Siva, someone whom she met by chance in the desert at night, she travels around as a dancer girl to find the devil who sealed her fate. One day, while they were traveling, they suddenly meet an egoistic prince and a ring spirit...

Weak but had its moments but they were too few

I finished Hanatsukihime and honestly it was a weak series. ITs a short shoujo 2 volume series and its not like its complicated. A classic story about a demon (male ofc) who has no feelings (obviously) and takes care of a girl who gives him joy and life and how to feel stuff and shit. and then she grows up to be mega hot. Im not against cliches but the problem here is the pacing and choreography which are both kinda choppy. It has a couple of amazing double pages but its just weak. I didn't hate the series but it just was kinda weak all around. Nonetheless it did have its moments. Just were far too few. 5/10

For a shoujo, yeah, this is pretty good. Romance is well-developed, but it's more plot-focused. It's clearly well-executed. I enjoyed the message about undying love, and the overall art was very beautiful. I wasn't particularly attached to any of the characters, but the female lead didn't annoy me either, and that's honestly a huge deal for a shoujo manga. I wasn't necessarily disappointed, but more like I didn't particularly like it. It's not amazing, but it's tolerable and wonderfully short. I actually enjoyed the Arabic backdrop and the magical elements, but the world-building wasn't particularly fantastic, and neither was the magic system.

TL;DR: Cute, pretty, entertaining enough, but it just falls flat. Nothing super great, avoids a lot of cliches, and the female lead is mildly tolerable. Therefore, 6/10.

It has beautiful art and a cute story line. I really liked Siva and their love story <3 Haha, I recommend this if you want something short and sweet but with an actual plot that doesn't quite fit cookie-cutter molds. smile

Good thing it's short

The advantage of this manga is that it's short, so they characters don't get into ridiculous situations, but just deal with the main problem, have one climax and one resolution. As far as a demon story goes, I liked it, not my favorite, but it's a happy manga, and I loved the art, the demon's drawings were amazing, I really liked it.

It was a short and sweet tale. Artistry was absolutely stunning. Love the concept. Very touching. My only thing is that it ended too soon. Wish it was a bit more detailed.

a girl was saved by having a devils heart. She travels to find him as a dancing girl. She doesn't really know that the devil is traveling with her. He keeps saving her all the time while she fights to live her life. He then gives up on taking his heart back but he goes nuts and in the end she takes her life to save him. But the other monster saves her by giving her child's heart to make her live. Sad but beautiful tale.

I rather liked this one. The plot was very nice and smooth, and there was character development. However, the female character is a bit too typical at times and even the guy's actions are sometimes predictable. But the mood the author creates covers this and the final climax and ending was well thought out, which is why I give this a high rating. Might reread this in the future. smile

It has some really awesome art. And Siva makes me skip my heartbeat. He is so cute. And Lys' outfits are pretty. Its my first time reading a manga like this. Lys is strong willed and different from your typical shoujo characters. If you wish to read a manga that has demons, beautiful art, a good plot, awesome characters then this is the one for you. After a long time, I actually cried while reading a manga. Basically because I hadnt read anything like this lately. There were tears continuously rolling down my eyes TT^TT

A very lovely story I must say.

The pretty artwork was really what captured me to read this to begin with because it resembles the work of KAYONO without the ecchi stuff, haha. The demons are my absolute favorites because she draws them either very prettty and ugly. The silver demon really is a masterpiece in my eyes.

I thought it was a sweet story which, albeit short, made an impression on me. The relationship between Siva and Lys is very cute and I think it shows how love can be felt in different kinds of way.

I definetly want to read more of her manga in the future; mostly because I'm just a huge sucker for her excellent artwork. o(^_^)o.

It was a very nice read. I enjoyed reading it. The plot may be slightly cliche, but I guess it had its own unique flair to it. It brought a new meaning to "I will give you my heart, so please take it." Siva was an interesting character (and a good-looking one) and the girl was okay. Lys wanted to be fair and return a huge favor back to Siva and I really like that kind of personality trait. It's admirable. I have to say....this manga is quite good for a typical shoujo manga. The ending was really great, I liked the ending.

It was pretty nice of that demon to give her own child's heart to Lys
The only thing I didn't like about this manga is its length (two volumes only?) This manga is overall good and I would recommend this anyone who wants a good and short read.

This is BY FAR my favorite manga ever! I've read it repeatedly and it's never lost its touch for me. smile I simply adore the Arabian-desert-esque setting of the manga. It's beautifully detailed and most importantly, it's different since practically the majority of shoujos are set in school. I really loved the tattoo marks the characters had, as well as their clothes!

Lys was decent - not your typical shoujo lead. She tries to be strong, but obviously she's physically unable to protect herself too much. Siva was pretty much your ideal shoujo male lead!

He was so cute when he threw fruits at Lys, paying her for a date xD

It started out as a typical fluffy romance, but halfway through, it becomes much more serious. The best part about the manga is the plot twist near the end! It was unexpected, but it also made sense smile none of that unrealistically cheesy happy endings! I only wished that their romance was a bit more conclusive, but definitely check this out! Her other mangas are equally as awesome!!
